The transcription discusses the importance of dressing appropriately and spiritually adorning oneself with the armor of God. It mentions different occasions where special attire is worn and the significance behind it. The book of Ephesians is referenced, emphasizing the need to be strong in the Lord and to put on the whole armor of God to stand against evil. Prayer is also highlighted as a crucial aspect of spiritual protection. Dressed? Well, there is nothing like a custom made outfit. Do you remember that show called Project Runway? Well, much work and care goes into the creation. The style, the fabric, the notions, and accessories to pair with it. The right hat, maybe, glove, shoes, jewelry, or no jewelry. Makes all the difference in the world. If you can imagine it and see yourself in it, that's a lot of fun. If you're talented in that area or needing professional help, it's worth it. It's worth the money. I've heard it just like this. Your outfit is on point. I was a little confused. I looked it up, though, as I always do. The phrase, on point, enslaved. The expression often describes someone as on their game, looking sharp. In language to understand, very elegant, stylish, or fashionable. No matter what age you are, no matter what season during the year it is, everyone at one time or another will dress for the time and the occasion they're in. The special times in our lives are remembered well as these events are associated with what a toddler is worn. When a child, a baby, is dedicated to God. During a baby dedication, even the child is dressed in a special elegant gown. During graduation ceremonies, children or youth wear formal attire. During a wedding, a bride and groom wear very special formal attire. A minister or priest will wear a robe or a chasuble garment, which is very special for the office that they work in. Then there is a special attire for grand guardians of our land. The police, the firemen, the different branches of military, whether Army, Marines, Navy, or Air Force. All of these special garments are different, but have special meaning and or authority in some cases. All activity stops in time and brings ceremonial importance, respect, and authority to the individuals wearing them. In a spiritual sense and awareness, God has in his words something to say about what we wear and put on and off as children of his kingdom. The Old Testament in the book of Exodus, let's look at chapter 28. It talks about the God-given instructions, significance, and meaning of what the priests were to wear in the courts of the tabernacle. Also, looking at Isaiah chapter 61 and 10, read that in your spare time. Today, let's look at the book of Ephesians. God wants his children to be adorned spiritually with his armor. It's called the whole armor of God. You may know something about it. Let's go over the significance of this godly attire. Ephesians chapter 6, I recommend you read in its entirety in your study time. Let's start with verse 10. Paul the Apostle is urging the saints in Ephesus to further spiritually protect themselves by putting on the armor of God. Verse 10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his light. Speak to your soul, okay? Let the weak say, I am strong in the Lord, not in your own unreliable strength. God's power. Isaiah 40, verse 29 says, he giveth power to the faint and to them that have no might. Ephesians 1 and 19. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us? Word. Who believe according to the working of his mighty power. Now let's go to chapter, verse 11. Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Since you have the Holy Spirit, my brethren, let God's spirit be on you and burn in you. He is all around you like a glove on your hands. Then you will be protected inside and out. Psalm 17 and 18. Keep me as the apple of the eye. Hide me under the shadow of thy wings. Verse 12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, who we can see. Not against the flesh, human beings. Okay? Not the hard to get along co-worker that treats you indifferent and has an end for you. But the war, the fight is against wicked spirits. Beings that are not of this world. Who are causing havoc on the earth. Verse 12. It mentions principalities. That's invisible, wicked. Bad angels or spirits. It speaks about powers. The ability to direct the behavior of others to influence them. This is what these spirits are doing. Rulers of the darkness of this world. Spiritual hierarchy of this world is the author of evil and sin. Now verse 13. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God. Now during the military inspection, a soldier is checked by their commanding officer to see if they are fully equipped and ready for battle if need be. They are equipped with everything they need. But the key is they need to use every tool available to be ready for the war. They will pay the prices not ready. The enemy or opposing side can take advantage. That ye may stand in the evil day and having done all to stand. You must be in position at all times. Therefore having your loin gird about with truth. Be prepared and have the freedom to be ready to act. And do what you need to do with a pure truthful intent heart. The breast plate of righteousness is to protect what God has put in your heart. Verse 15. Your feet shall be the preparation of the gospel of peace. Wherever your feet take you, you are seeking for peace. Looking to take peace to others. Your feet will take you to good places. I claim over my life. Deuteronomy 28 and 6. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed. Blessed shall thou be when thou comest in. And blessed shall thou be when thou comest out. Verse 16. Above all taking the shield of faith. Wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. When the devil comes at you with a barrage of accusations, lies, deceiving thoughts. Sometimes it feels like you're being shot with a spiritual machine gun. The gun is aimed right at you. Put up your shield of faith in God's word. And quench every fiery dart. Extinguish or reflect it back to the enemy like a mirror. Verse 17. Let's not forget the Almeda Foundation. We started at the top and received Jesus as Lord of our lives. Always protect what God has done for you. Brought you out of, gave you a new meaning. And the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. Hebrews chapter 4 verse 12. For the word of God is quick and powerful. And sharper than any two-edged sword. Piercing even to the dividing of thunder and soul and spirit. And of the joints and marrow. And is a discerner of the thoughts, intent of the hearts. Amen. Lastly, verse 18. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit. And watching there with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. We start to pray as Apostle Paul said. With prayer. Talking to God on behalf of others and ourselves. Asking God for guidance, help, wisdom and understanding. Romans 8, 26-27. Likewise the spirit also helps our infirmities. For we know not what we should pray for at us, we ought. But the spirit itself maketh intercession for us. With groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searches the hearts. Knoweth what is in the mind of the spirit. Because he maketh intercession for the saints. According to the will of God. We thank God for the Holy Spirit. We thank God for the armor. Let's pray once again. Dear God, we thank you for all things. We thank you for your unfailing love and the Holy Word. We receive your strength and guidance from Apostle Paul. Writing according to the book of Ephesians. In particular chapter 6. We fortify ourselves spiritually with the whole armor of God. Which will keep us strong in you. And we receive your fullness. Amen. Praise God for today. We hope you got something out of this lesson today. We would like to just be careful. This is Lucretia Jordan to thank. Robin and Matthew Anderson. For prayer and share. And invitation to intercede in prayer for our nation. With Metta. And New Generation Christian Family Matters Podcast. For making this presentation possible to you today. God bless you as are. God bless you as are. God bless you as are. God bless you as are.
