El 6 de diciembre de 1939 en la sede de Radio para Ti, en San Pedro de Montes de Oca, se grabó la primera versión de “Noche inolvidable”, del compositor Ricardo Mora, que ese mismo día, desmotivado por el tratamiento que recibían los artistas nacionales, vendió su guitarra en la cantina Washington Bar, cerca del Parque Central, y apagó un poco las penas con nostalgia y alcohol. “Noche inolvidable”, la principal y más reconocida composición del maestro Mora, fue grabada por primera vez en la voz.
