This is a story about Nanabush, the Spirit, who likes to get into trouble. He is the grandson of Nokomis and son of the West Wind. In telling this story, with permission from the author's son, I sought to find the true origin of Nanabush. The author had spent time relearning the stories on her reserve. I have also found an article stating that Nanabush is the Anishinaabe (Ojibway) sacred teacher and trickster. There are 10 stories written by Dr. Daphne Odjig, all as entertaining as this one!
