DESPIERTA JIBARA is inspired by my first family trip to Puerto Rico. As a Nuyorican it’s a very humbling/exciting experience. I wanted to show what a morning is like since we’re staying at a house by the beach. I even included my actual grandmother who wakes me up just as you hear.
