In Ms. Clark's Learning Social, we will be learning about continents and oceans. We will use maps, virtual environments, and interactive activities to learn. To explore this topic, you will use maps, look at virtual environments and models, and complete a variety of interactive activities to enhance your learning. Your learning objective for these lessons is that you will be able to identify and label the seven continents and five oceans on a map with 80% accuracy. The techniques are as follows. First, you identify major landforms and bodies of water, including each of the continents and each of the oceans on maps and globes. Next, you will explore virtual environments, simulations, models, and programming languages to enhance your learning. For these lessons, you will need a number of supplies. First, a social studies journal. You will need blank paper, pencils, colored pencils, or crayons to write with, and headphones are optional. For the social studies journal, keep it nearby to document your learning, write questions you may have, and record your answers to the essential questions found on each lesson page.
