in 1994 I took my Alpha Syntauri Music Computer down to Santa Cruz and did a concert with The UC Santa Cruz Gamelan Ensemble.. The UCSC Gamelan Ensemble presents programs of rarely performed traditional music from West Java and Bali. Featuring the West Javanese repertoire that has been championed by director Undang Sumarna for the past 40 years, as well as the rare semar pegulingan instruments, played by the Balinese Gamelan ensemble.
