The speaker is excited for the future of the show and mentions that the writers have reached an agreement, ensuring more episodes. They also mention making Sydney's omelet and enjoying the flavors. They compare one of the dishes to old The Kitchen Muse episode is going to be the amazing television show about The Bear on FX. We love that show. Bear is definitely giving something that I'm waiting for the next season. Yeah. Absolutely. It's must-see TV. It's addicting. It's fast-paced. The culinary aspect of the show is just spot-on. It's like a collection of my heart racing at the same time, but I'm kind of hungry. It's brilliant. It really is. I like that they're able to perfectly marry technique, skill, passion in the kitchen with the real anxiety-inducing, fast-paced type of environment. I love it. I love it. A good TV for me lately has just been TV that kind of gets you all in. It feels like you're up and down. You feel like it's predictable, but... Yeah. No, definitely far from predictable to me, this show is. It's doing a really good job, I think, at showing food and showing the culinary space and showing the different people who make up the culinary world. It's oftentimes very easy to forget about the people who are in the kitchen cooking your food. The Bear was created by a sibling duo, Christopher and... Kevin and the family. Mm-hmm. Courtney Storer. Christopher is the creator and director, and then Courtney Storer is the culinary producer. She's also a chef, and she's killing it. Yeah. What about the show... You said it was addicting, so what about it has an addicting quality about it that makes you want to keep watching every season? For me, the most addicting thing about the show is the dynamic between the characters. Yeah. Right? Mm-hmm. The way that they play off of each other. Right. The way that they interact with one another when they're in the kitchen, when they're out of the kitchen. Those relationships, yeah. Yeah. It's very much so relatable, and it's very much so like I see myself in that same place. I have no desire to be a chef. I'm like, okay, so I'm not a chef. You know what I mean? Mm-hmm. The pressure, the anxiety, the desire to put your best foot forward, the passion that they have, all of them, everybody from Tina to Ibrahim to Marcus, everybody on that show, Carmi, Sidney, they are all so passionate about what they're doing and the food that they're bringing to the table and the experience that they want to craft. Right. And even Carmi and Sidney, getting them to care about the experience that they can create for some people. What was your most inspirational dish that they made? What dish inspired you the most from the show? For season one, it would be that original little meatball sandwich or whatever it was. I can see myself devouring something like that. Season two, recently, I would say my most inspirational dish from the season was when Marcus learned the little dessert dish he made. For me, the technique in him practicing for multiple days at a time just to get a technique, not just the flavor of the dish, the technique of how to place the dish, I would really say that dessert. He really had to prep into learning how to perfect that technique. And during that time, I mean, my man, I mean, spoiler alert, my man's mom was ill. You know what I'm saying? He all the way in a whole nother country and he was passionately coming to work every day going through those battles and he fucking killed that shit. I mean, I definitely tried that shit. Yeah. Speaking of which, we ended up going to a little pop-up place. Yes, we did. And we tried, well, there was like a local restaurant who was inspired by the dishes that were on the show and so they kind of did their take on it. Yeah, they did. And it was pretty interesting. I made sure that I chose all of Sydney's dishes. Oh, that was your thing? Okay. Yeah, because she's the one who I'm most inspired by on the show. I'm absolutely obsessed with her. Yeah. I love him. And, you know, I just love her journey. Yeah. Don't you feel like you've been seeing her pop up a lot more and like maybe of noticing, well, for me personally, of noticing her in newer projects but also like projects I didn't realize she was already in? Ayo Adabiri? Yeah. Oh, yeah, for sure. Yeah, for sure. Right? For sure. And I love that. I just went to go see her movie Bottoms and it was fucking hilarious. Yes. I gotta watch it. It's just, I love her character. I love what she's bringing to the show. Yeah. So refreshing to get to see a black woman who is deeply passionate about what she's doing. Right. And the mark she can make in daring, daring to live, you know, her life on her own merits. Right. And create the career that she wants for herself. And girl, Sydney chose. Deliberate, yeah. She chose. I'm going to leave this illustrious position to put my trust in you because I see the potential of what we can really do. Yeah. So let's do it. I'm going to do my half because she's definitely doing her shit. Right? Like, it's season one. She, I felt like was, you know, taking some time to like speak up. Well, she had to learn from Karmie. Yeah, she did. You know, like he was the one. She did. He's the celebrated chef. Yeah. So she was coming fresh out of culinary school and after, like I said, working for UPS, which was dope. I was just like, she's so badass. Yeah. You know, I fucking love that about her. Yeah. But, you know, she had to learn. And that's the thing. Like she wasn't afraid to put herself in a new position. She wasn't afraid to humble herself. Right. Before, you know, her career so that she could have what she wants and be who she wants and master, you know, her, her technique. So I thought she was, she's my girl. She really like stood in that decision of making that choice to invest herself in this place and just soak up everything to the point where like when you make decisions sometimes in life, sometimes it's hard to like stand up to people and be like, yeah, I did make that decision. Cause she's had a couple of people trying her like, what you doing? What is it that we don't see? You know, so. Even her dad. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And that could be hard. So. And that means he's the whole reason why she chose the bear. Right. Because he used to eat there all the time. So. Yeah. That's why she chose that restaurant. So no, I, I, I love her journey and I'm very, very excited about this next season. And hopefully the future of the show, especially now that the writers have reached a temporary agreement. Yeah. We should be getting some more of the bear coming soon. Yeah. That would be exciting. Then you make a dish off the show. You made an omelet, right? Yeah. Of course. I made her omelet and it was amazing. It was very, very delicious. I actually don't eat chives often. Oh really? Yeah. Love them. Yeah. It was, it was a very, a very amazing addition to it. It's funny because that Borscht and cheese, which was pretty tasty, it reminded me of, it was my first time having it. Okay. And so it reminded me of the old school onion dip. Oh no. I'm stupid. Onion dip. In the cube. Yes. At the top. Yes. I get it. It kind of reminded me. I dip all of my fingers. All of my fingers. Exactly. And the fact that there was chips that you had to crumple up. Yeah. Yeah. It was that amazing textural crunch. Yeah. It was definitely reminiscent of that. It was like, oh, okay, now I see why she chose this dish as like, you know, not only a filling dish for, you know, sugar who's pregnant, but also as just like a nostalgia, you know, to just like a comforting dish that is just like relax and enjoy and indulge and eat. Cause it was buttery baby. Yeah. And it's very creamy and very rich. So no, it was a good choice and very delicious recipe.
