The podcast episode discusses the concept of toxic productivity, where people feel guilty when they're not being productive and constantly strive to accomplish tasks. The speakers attribute this behavior to expectations and comparisons with others. They discuss the negative effects of constantly working without rest, such as stress and strained relationships. Solutions to overcome toxic productivity include focusing on quality over quantity, finding a balance between work and relaxation, and learning how to say no to excessive tasks. The speakers encourage listeners to choose the best approach for themselves and work towards productive yet healthy habits. Welcome to Radio Fresh Air Improvement with me Ann. Today we move to an interesting episode talking about toxic productivity for people who haven't known exactly about it. I'm so excited to share with everyone right now. Before we start, I want to introduce three guest speakers today. Hi and welcome Phuocan Bao. Hi everyone. Thanks for inviting me. It's an honor for me to participate in this episode. Okay. Let's start the podcast by answering to the question, what is toxic productivity? What came to your mind when you heard about it, Ken? I think toxic productivity can be described as a stage of behavior when people can't stop being productive and they find it difficult to do nothing. Maybe I think they will feel guilty when they skip a job too. Or they will obsess in being productive all the time. It sounds bad, isn't it? That's right. However, have you guys ever been in this situation before? I'm sometimes in that kind of situation. So, where do you guys think it came from? I don't know exactly where it came from. But I think it totally starts from our expectation and comparison. Perhaps, we always compare ourselves to someone around us. Because seeing someone else being productive might affect us. We have to work harder. How do you feel when you want to try and accomplish everything you want to have at the moment? I feel really tired and stressed. When I'm going down, I feel like when I want to try something new, I don't want to fail. I have no idea what to do. Of course, we have a huge world behind us. It's always full of mental and physical stress. For instance, if you work constantly, you will be weary and out of energy. At the moment, every activity will be inconsistent. As a result, the output of a good feeling is like that. If you don't take time to rest, your body will not be able to handle the performance of the day. Moreover, it can impact our relationship around us, right? Because you have no better time than our interruptions, that's why we want to talk to you today. Hey, let's imagine if we kept losing our relationship, what would happen? As we know much better, things are hard. Come on, don't be that serious. We still have some solutions for this. Relax, darling. All right, we will return to this matter after the commercial. It is time for a sponsor today. It is an honor for us that ABPK Tours is going to be our partner. Chilling out with us throughout Vietnam to discover culture, enjoy local food, and enjoy the freedom. This may only get 30% of our family who do it with a hesitation. All right, back to our real work. We have talked about what, why, and how we solve the technology disease. Are there any solutions to get out of it? Hmm, depending on my knowledge, there are some ways to reduce our self-contact introduction. Honestly, I think working too much at one time or moving too much might not be as effective as less. But all about quality, not quantity. I agree with it. Besides that, we need to have a proper time around us. By this way, we can balance between act and relax. For example, putting a pomodoro make-up, using a mask, and concentrating on numbers. Because if you focus on something for a long time, you will lose your efficiency in working. Learning how to react can also be a good solution. There are lots of people who want to improve themselves. That is why they keep receiving tasks and being burned out through it. There are some suggestions for you guys so you can choose the best way which is suitable for you and try to apply it in your own journey. Hopefully, after this podcast, everyone could identify exactly how to work productively without being toxic. Let me end by saying thank you to three guest speakers and all you guys for your interest. Hope to see you in the next podcast. Don't forget to subscribe below and share some other opinions in the comments. See ya!
