Jack spent two months in Hanoi and then bought a bike to explore Vietnam for four months. He visited Cao Phong, a beautiful rural area, then cycled to Da River Reservoir and hiked through Mai Chau Valley. Jack also visited Hoa Lu, the ancient capital, and went to Hue to see temples and ruins. He then went to Hoi An with its scenic cliffs and bay views, followed by Quy Nhon where he enjoyed swimming and the beach. Jack's trip ended in Da Lat, where he appreciated the lakes, palaces, hills, and flower gardens. 6C. Exercises 1A and 1B. Page 49. So, Jack, how long were you in Vietnam? I spent the first two months in the capital city, Hanoi, and then I bought a bike and spent the other four months exploring the country. Fantastic! Where was the first place you went? Cao Phong, one of the most beautiful areas in rural Vietnam. You're right there. There are small villages and green valleys with mountains in the background. Where did you go after Cao Phong? I cycled south to the Da River Reservoir, and I spent a day hiking through the Mai Chau Valley, and then I stayed overnight in the village of Phuong Khang. Then I visited Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam, and visited the temple of Dinh Tien Quang. Where did you go then? Then I took the overnight train to Hue. There was a lot to see, including temples and ruins. I visited the Forbidden Purple City and the Dong Bao Market. Then I headed to Hoi An with its spectacular scenery. There are tall cliffs there and beautiful views across the bay. Then I went to Quy Nhon, and I spent most of my time swimming and lying on the beach. Was that the end of your trip? No, I went to Da Lat. I really wanted to see the pleasant lakes, palaces, tree-covered hills, and flower gardens. It was peaceful and beautiful there. It was the best way to end my adventure.
