Skywalker Sound (formerly known as Sprocket Systems and occasionally Skywalker Sound North) is a post-production division of Lucasfilm Ltd., which was founded in 1975 by George Lucas, Gary Kurtz, and Ben Burtt (a successor to Dr. Walter Murch, A.C.E., who previously worked on American Graffiti and THX 1138) during the production of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.
