Chicago sports teams are described as depressing, with the speaker acknowledging that other cities also have poor teams, such as Cleveland. The Bulls used to be competitive but have declined, with players leaving and a disliked head coach. The Cubs are also performing poorly, and even the White Sox are not doing well. The Bears are seen as the most promising team, but there is doubt about their success. Overall, the speaker feels disappointed and saddened by the state of Chicago sports, particularly when key players were traded. They express a desire to remember happier times as a sports fan and not be consumed by negativity. Chicago sports teams is depressing. I shouldn't really be talking about it as much because I know there's other cities whose teams are absolutely horrendous. I mean, I guess the one team I can think of is Cleveland. Do I have to say anything else? I would say Detroit but they locally locked in right now. Anyways, Chicago as a whole in sports isn't amazing. It used to be the Bulls had Jimmy Butler, we had D. Rose, Joe King Noah. We were competing with the Cavs in 2015. So now, DeMar DeRosa's gone. The Arms don't need to play no more. Zach Levine's looking for another team. The team don't want to rebuild and that head coach is terrible. The Cubs, I thought we were going to be the first team in the standings. We're last place. At least the White Sox are terrible, right? Anyways, the Bears are the most promising thing in Chicago but I feel like we're not going to do anything with it. I hope we do but it's going to be hard. It's going to be hard but I don't want to think negative. I don't want to think negative. Hopefully we win the division and at least beat the Packers. I don't care. But from the last couple years, it really hasn't been outstanding. I'm going to keep it real. It hasn't been amazing. There's been nothing but straight disappointments from, I mean I couldn't even handle it. It hasn't been good. It's been sad. Honestly, the incident that hurt me the most is when Baez, Rizzo, and Bryan all got traded in one day. It broke me. It broke me. I'm going to be honest. It broke me. I haven't been the same since. Honestly, as a sports fan right now in Chicago, as a Chicagoan or whatever you want to call it, it's not the best. I honestly don't want to be too depressed as a sports fan so I would like to look back at when I was happy as a sports fan. I don't want to be sad. I don't want to be sad. I don't want to be sad. I don't want to be sad.
