The speaker's life changed drastically after graduation. They didn't like reading as a child but now emphasize the importance of reading. They started side hustles and enjoy being entrepreneurial despite the ups and downs. After finishing their apprenticeship, they decided to start their own business for more independence and income. They met Rick Enos in 2023, who helped them start a home upgrade business. They partner with Rick to offer home upgrades with the latest tech. They want to help people overcome the complexity of upgrading their homes. The speaker invites their friend to share their thoughts and experiences with home upgrades. Things changed drastically. Like everything, things aren't complex. It's all about the connections to the right people. In my childhood, I didn't like to read. But now I say the same saying to people, never trust someone who has a bigger TV than a bookshelf. All that reading started in 2019, shortly after my graduation. I started to side hustle different things. I like being entrepreneurial. It's really interesting how many ups and downs you get there. But just sticking to it and never surrendering kept me going. I just finished my apprenticeship and I thought that can't be all. I looked around to see what else could be done, maybe a new apprenticeship or something I built on my own. Then I thought more like something which is your own is much cooler and you can earn more. Sure, I have to work a lot more, but I'm fine with that. So I got started being entrepreneurial. There are many things which I did wrong. However, as long as you stand up one more time, then you go down, you're fine. Then something happened even I can't believe. The main shift occurred when I met Rick Enos back in 2023. He gave me a great consultation on how to start a business and understand important things in the home upgrade business. Things got clearer and we found each other and partnered up because we realized that we essentially need each other to create a great company. Now we are doing what neither of us expected to do. At first Rick was more focused on solar only, but gracefully shifted more towards home upgrades from A to C. So basically we had people upgrade their home by choosing the right and the newest gadgets, tech devices and more. Rick loves to speak to people, understanding their needs, helping them fulfill those needs by showing them the best possible options and getting them a great house which is full of the latest and greatest tech. My part is to bring out the message and get interaction with you. It's so important to me because I have seen so many people who want to upgrade their home, but it's so super complex. They don't know where to start, whom to ask, and overall how to do that. Basically, it's overwhelming. Therefore, people get stuck and don't get their dreams fulfilled. But more on that later.
