The main idea is to support good works without seeking praise from others. Jesus said that Christians should be a positive influence in the world and do good works to bring glory to God, not for personal admiration. This advice is given by Carol Lubick in the Word of Life from February 1918. Support good works. Beware of practicing your piety before others in order to be sinned by them, for then you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Jesus said that a Christian should be the light of the world and the salt of the earth, but then he added, so that they will see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
