The Los Angeles Clippers have been performing well this season, with a strong supporting cast. Kawhi Leonard has been efficient and healthy, while James Harden and Paul George have also been playing well. Terrence Mann and Norman Powell have been solid role players, providing scoring and defense. Russell Westbrook has been explosive off the bench, creating steals and providing second chance points. Ivica Zubac has been playing his best season yet, contributing on both offense and defense. The backup centers, Mason Plumlee and Daniel Tice, have been solid contributors as well. Yo what's good y'all it's Jono back from Top Boss Central and in today's video we're going to be going over the Los Angeles Clippers and going over their supporting cast and how great that they've been this season. So the Los Angeles Clippers are currently 8-2 in their last 10 games and just came off a really great win off of the Boston Celtics who they defeated at their own home with a score of 115-96 which is crazy because the Boston Celtics are a very great team at home and are almost unbeatable from home. And starting off with some of the players that I just want to kind of run over real quick before I get into like the role players and some of the key pieces for this team I kind of want to start off with how good some of these you know guys in the starting lineup have been playing. Starting off with Kawhi Leonard he's had his most efficient season like in forever I mean this is one of his most efficient years he's you know shooting the three better than ever and this is his most efficient year since joining the Los Angeles Clippers and one great thing about Kawhi this season is he's only missed four games out of the whole season which is incredible to see because this man was doing load management a lot the past few seasons and we really haven't got to see a full season of Kawhi in a while and now we're getting to see that as he's looking more healthy than he's been in forever and also other guys are playing great as well James Harden he's also playing a terrific role on this offense as he is a great playmaker he's averaging almost nine assists this season and Paul George I mean he's looking even better than last season he's shooting better from the three and like I said the injuries you know ain't here this season and this team is definitely going to be more scary with that because you know PG and Kawhi have been battling injuries for a while and now we're getting to see the healthy side of things which is very scary for the league and I mean if this team is healthy this team is the best team on the Western Conference there's no doubt about it with how they've been playing this season but now I just want to kind of transition over to some of the supporting cast and guys that have been really solid for them. Now starting off with one of the really good role players that has been on a roll this month has been Terrence Mann. Terrence Mann has had a really solid month averaging 10 points a game and about three boards as well he's been pretty efficient from the three shooting 51.3 percent which is really solid and his field goal percentage is honestly efficient as well very efficient and yeah man last night he dropped 14 against a very tough defense with the Boston Celtics he's dropped you know 17 points 13 points he's just been really solid this whole month and there's been a few games where he's been a little iffy but this month he's been figuring things out now next up we have a very good role player I feel like is the best on this team for sure Norman Powell he should have won six man of the year last year he's a absolute dominant force coming off of the bench for them six man for sure he's been averaging a little over 13 points a game shooting almost 50 percent from the field 49.5 to be exact he's been really solid for them and one thing that Norman Powell is very great at that I've watched from this season is he's great at creating shots off the ball is he's done that a ton of times and that just really helps the Clippers offense and it gets it rolling a lot of the time and that's one thing about Norman Powell he really doesn't need a screen to truly try to get open because he can truly just find any open space on the defense to be able to get a good shot or just create a good shot for himself and Norman Powell like I said he's just a great piece to come off of the bench provides a really good spark for them on that offensive end and this creates really good runs in transition he's also really good with that scoring in transition and this month he's been really good on defense as well he's been able to come up with a few blocks shot some games some steals even against like some of the best teams like the Timberwolves he got two blocks that really created some really good transition points and yeah so now moving on I kind of want to talk about Russell Westbrook he's been really great for them as of late and he's just been explosive this year like in a game just the other day versus the Toronto Raptors off the bench the Clippers won the game by 20 points but that was thanks to Russell Westbrook keeping that lead up and he put up 20 points that night and didn't even have a single turnover at all looked great out there and was just creating steals he had two blocks as well and he forced himself inside to get a bucket every time almost and he even got to the free throw line six times and made all of his free throws he just provided that extra spark that I said they needed off of the bench and he just also provides really good second chance points because he goes for rebounds and put backs a lot of the time whenever say like Paul George or something misses a shot he'll come in and just rebound it and just put it back up and help him get that second chance point which just really benefits this team when you have somebody with the ability and just hustle to do that and I think Russell Westbrook really made a good choice coming off of the bench even though he could easily be a starter he just makes the depth on this roster that much more insane and just more dangerous than ever but that's the great thing about having Russell Westbrook because he's always going to be doing something on the court to benefit the team whether that's him trying to you know force offensive rebounds to get a second chance point or if that's him just playmaking you know getting like one game against the Timberwolves who have one of the best defenses if not the best defense in the league I think they are the best defense in my personal opinion but they have he had 13 assists against that team and they barely lost but he played great in that game he had 13 assists 12 points and eight rebounds and one thing Russ does really well is if he doesn't think he can make it to the paint and be able to score at the rim he'll kick it out for a wide open shot and that just really helps this team because you know his playmaking skills are really good coming off of that bench and he's just so dangerous just to have coming off of the bench such as in a game that he just played about a week ago uh was against the Brooklyn Nets where they was losing going into that fourth quarter and they absolutely dominated in the fourth whenever Russell Westbrook was in he absolutely went insane dropping 23 points in that game nine rebounds six assists and he shot uh 62.5 percent from the field which is insane for him and he gave exactly what this Clipper team needed that night because they wasn't looking like their selves and he just created that scoring run which led them to being able to actually win that game because they was about to lose to the Brooklyn Nets which really would have sucked for them and yeah the depth on this roster is absolutely crazy especially with Russell Westbrook I mean that man went crazy to help this team this team really wouldn't even have been in the game if it wasn't for him and he's really a big part on why this team was able to come and get a 22-0 scoring run with the help of Kawhi Leonard because you know Kawhi scored 14 out of his 21 points in the final five minutes of that game but Russ I mean he had 23 points which definitely helped his team a lot in that game to be able to even make that run but moving on I want to talk about their big man in Zubak he's had a really good role with this Clippers team and their success and he's going to be out for I believe like three more weeks now at least which sucks for them but he's never really experienced a whole lot of injuries before so this really isn't you know nothing crazy I think he'll be back and you know we really don't need to worry about too many injuries in the future for him but he can be out that long so they don't need to worry too much but with Zubak I believe that this is his best season that he has even ever played in he's been averaging a little over 12 points a game almost getting 10 boards as well while shooting 65.5 percent this is the best field goal percentage he's had in a season pretty similar to his 2020 year but he's scoring more points and grabbing more boards as well he just plays a really huge role on this team I mean versus the Lakers against a very tough defender in Anthony Davis he put up 22 points and 19 rebounds which is really hard to do against this man I mean they suffered a really you know tough loss there you know they lost 103 to 106 but I mean he was a winner this night and I believe he will be a huge factor onto this championship team and he just provides a lot and it may not show up on the stat sheet but he's doing a lot of things in the paint he's really good on defense I mean he averages at least a blocked shot per game usually over that and he's just an absolute workhorse on the court whether that's him setting picks for like PG to get an open shot or that's him just trying to create second chance points on him grabbing offensive rebounds and just trying to put it back up he just does a lot of great things for this team whether that's defense or offense and in the backup role of Zubach they also have Mason Plumlee who's been playing okay and they have Daniel Tice as well who's pretty solid he has a decent night last night against his former team he put up 18 points which helped them get that victory and they're both solid contributors especially for being a backup center and they also have Bones Highland who really hasn't gotten much chances to play besides the star of the year before they got James Harden and I think him and also P.J. Tucker should honestly try to get traded before the deadline because this team is so stacked as it is and they could probably go out and get another piece with them two being gone because P.J. Tucker really doesn't have a role on this team at all and Bones Highland is just playing garbage time and random games he's not playing much at all and I'm sure some team would want him out there you know he's a young piece and he's a fast uh shifty guard that could definitely get some kind of good trade rolling with him and they also do have Kobe Brown who they just drafted in last year's draft who I believe could be a solid you know piece maybe for the future he does have a lot of potential and he did have a pretty good summer league run as well but I don't see him getting any time besides like garbage time maybe this season maybe in the like the following seasons or so he'll get some type of time but with the roster they have right now they're just too stacked and this team just has so much depth it's really crazy especially with Norm and Russ coming off of that bench as well it just helps them so much and let me know down below what you guys think about the Clippers do you guys think they're going to go to the championship and win let me know down below as always make sure to like and subscribe and turn on post notifications and I'll see you on the next one I'm out
