Everyone who visits a woodland in the spring will know what a delight it is to listen to the many birdsongs present, but only some woodlands truly conserve our bird species. When woodlands lack management or no longer have a reason to be kept in an environmentally friendly state, they no longer assist the wildlife. As a result, enormous problems arise for the species we should be helping to conserve. Private woodlands often tick all the right boxes regarding Avian conservation.
