The story begins in Anchorage, Alaska, where a 10-year-old boy named Callum lives with his mom and their pets. Everything seems normal until Callum notices a picture of a man and a woman who resemble Almanzo. Good evening, everybody. Today our story begins in Anchorage, Alaska, in the middle of a fierce scale. At his window stares a boy 10 years old. That boy's name was Callum, and his seemingly normal world will twist and turn in the coming months. Callum lived with his mom in a house with lots of space for a boy, a bunny, a cat, and a dog to live in. When you come downstairs, you can look at the wall, and you see many pictures of him, his cat, Einstein, dog, Helen Keller, and their bunny, Beethoven, who is usually found sleeping in his mother's room. But there is one picture of a man holding a woman in his arms. The woman is laughing, and the man, whose green eyes, freckles, and red hair look so much like Almanzo, that it's startling.
