When shopping, separate raw meat, poultry, and seafood from produce and other foods. Use plastic bags to prevent juices and bacteria from dripping. When storing, wrap raw meat and poultry securely to avoid juices contaminating other foods. Thaw in the refrigerator, in a bag or dish, to prevent juice leakage. Continuing with physical and procedural barriers, when we are shopping, we want to separate raw meat, poultry, and seafood from any produce or other foods in a grocery or shopping cart that you're going to refrigerate. You want to place food in plastic bags to prevent the juices, possible leaking, or any harmful bacteria from dripping onto other foods. When we're storing the foods, you want to make sure that raw meat and poultry are wrapped securely to prevent any of the juices from getting onto other foods. When thawing, we want to make sure that we're putting that in the refrigerator, in a bag, in a dish, or a pan to prevent, again, the juices from leaking onto other foods.
