Myrtle Reed
Myrtle Reed, born on September 27, 1874, was a talented American author, poet, journalist, and philanthropist. She came from a family of writers, as her mother was the renowned author Elizabeth Armstrong Reed and her father, Hiram von Reed, was a preacher. Throughout her career, Myrtle penned numerous bestselling books, captivating readers with her literary prowess. Additionally, she displayed her versatility by publishing a collection of cookbooks using the pseudonym Olive Green. Tragically, Myrtle's life was cut short on August 17, 1911. Nonetheless, her contributions to literature continue to be celebrated and appreciated.
