The building site coordinator responsible for planning and designing a construction or infrastructure project must coordinate the application of relevant workplace safety regulations to be followed in each stage of the planning and design process, including both the construction phase and the use of the building or infrastructure. The main responsibility lies with the Project Manager to engage in dialogue with the involved stakeholders to identify the risks associated with the planned actions and then, with the support of governing regulations, determine how to manage these risks.
