"Talking to Grief" is a setting of a poem by Denise Levertov, used by permission, in which grief is likened to a "homeless dog." The poem suggests that we would be better off welcoming grief than trying to ignore it or keep it out of our lives. The music was commissioned by Choral Arts of Chattanooga in 2006, and performed by them as well.
