A trombone + dogs arrangement of a Minnesota radio classic This piece is based on Joseph M. Daly’s “Chicken Reel,” which was famously used as the theme for the "Cannon Mess" segment on WCCO AM 830 Radio in Minnesota during the 1970s — complete with barking dogs. This arrangement is for 5 trombones and 2 dogs, with a longer first ending to mimic the original radio intro. It’s my tribute to the chaotic fun of childhood radio and the sheer versatility of low brass (and the occasional bark).
