Lesson 13 Presentation 3

Before 911, it was convenient to board a flight, but now there are security checks that can cause people to miss their flights. Last summer, when I flew to New York to visit a friend, I checked in online and arrived at the airport 40 minutes early. However, I didn't realize there would be a long line for security. With only half an hour before the flight took off, I had to ask people to let me go ahead. They saw how anxious I was and allowed me to go to the front. But during the security check, they found an unfinished bottle of water in my backpack. After passing security, I rushed to the boarding gate, but the doors were already closed. If only I had left the house earlier, I wouldn't have missed my flight. 911以前乘坐航班很方便,拿到登机牌后可以直接上飞机。 现在登机前要过安全一些,人因此误了航班。 去年夏天我坐飞机出纽约看朋友,我已经在网上班,好了登机手续。 所以之前提前了40分钟到机场,到了机场才发现过安全,要排很长的队,因为离飞机起飞只有半个小时了,我只好请排在前面的人让我往前站。 大家看到我着急的样子,都让开绿,让我站到了最前面,可是过安全的时候,安全人员要检查我的背包,原来里面有一瓶没喝完的水。 过了安全,我马上跑到登机口,可是机门已经关了,哎,要是我早一点出门就不会误机了。
