The anti-vax movement has been around since the first vaccine in the 1800s, but it grew a lot during the COVID-19 pandemic because of mandates. Although historically the anti-vax movement has existed since the development of the first vaccine in the late 1800s, the mandates implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic unintentionally grew the anti-vax movement by a great deal.
