The speaker is testing a 77 toner microphone and checking its audio levels. They mention adjusting the automatic level control and experimenting with different settings. They also discuss connecting the microphone directly to a laptop and considering using Audacity software to clean up the audio. it works. So I am over here talking. I'm just using my regular voice right now. I'm talking inside the 77 toner. We're checking the audio level. It is at an automatic level control. The record level keeps going up higher, so I don't know if that's adjusting as it is. And it looks like the green thing is going in slightly in and out of the circle, which according to Kyle, which according to Rod Key, that is where you want to go. So I'm going to stop and we're going to test this. So this is me recording again just to see if it would actually work. So I'm clicking it automatic level now. It still looks like it needs to adjust because I am just now talking. My face is in this thing. And let's see if I turn it all the way up manually and then click the automatic level control. That seemed to make it work. So let me speak a little bit away from the microphone because I'm not going to be all the way up in here like I'm singing. So let's see how it talks right now. So right now I'm a few feet away from it, just talking normally with the mic at a USB directly into the laptop. Okay, so this is the third take. I am just allowing the automatic level to be automatically controlling itself, controlling the sound. I haven't touched anything. I am speaking at a normal height with the Toner 77 USB mic. It is connected directly to the laptop, though I don't have my power plugs in, but I think 30 minutes would be fine. Let's see if I can plug it in. Oh, perfect. Worked out just fine. Okay, so this is me talking normally. Let's see how it sounds. Okay, so this is my last take on GarageBand. I am not going to do any edits. I'm not going to do any adjustments. We're just going to talk. And then what I found through research that maybe I take this very raw footage of an audio file that's dirty and dusty, and I upload it to Audacity, which is a free software, and they say that that is really good for helping edit it and cleaning up audio. So let's see how it sounds.
