This is an interview with Bobby Bruschini, a senior soccer player at Oneonta. He started playing soccer because his brother and sister played and his brother inspired him. He always wanted to play at the collegiate level and his favorite part about playing for Oneonta is the support and instant friend group. His biggest success was winning the SUNYAC title in his junior year. He doesn't have official plans yet, but he will continue playing and possibly coach younger kids in the future. My name is Lorenzo Scotty and you're listening to Tim Welch Radio. Today I have the pleasure of interviewing senior Oneonta soccer player Bobby Bruschini. How are you today, Bob? I'm doing good. How about yourself? I'm doing well. First off, I would like to ask, at what age did you start playing soccer and what made you want to play that sport over any others? I don't remember the exact age I started playing, but I've been playing my whole life. I started playing because my brother and my sister always played and my brother specifically has always been a huge inspiration for me, so as soon as I saw he was doing it, it's something I wanted to do. When did you know that you wanted to play at the collegiate level? Was it in high school or did you always dream of playing at a university? I always dreamed of playing at college. What is your favorite part about playing for the Oneonta soccer team? Playing for the team has been a huge blessing. It gave me an instant friend group as soon as I came into college. I also enjoyed playing at a high level. The support from the school is something I've never been able to experience before and it was really cool. What was the biggest success that you've had for playing in the Oneonta soccer team? Probably winning the SUNYAC title my junior year. Now that you are a graduating senior, do you have plans to continue your soccer career and or possibly coach younger kids coming up in their soccer careers? I don't have anything official planned, but I've always loved playing and I always will. I'll definitely continue playing pick up with my friends and my dad was actually a coach for me when I was younger, so hopefully one day when I have kids I can coach them. Thank you for taking the time out for this interview, Bobby, and this has been your Red Dragons sport recap for Tim Welch Radio.
