Nothing to say, yet
The speaker is facing a dilemma as they need to teach their high school students how to make a podcast, despite their own lack of technological skills. They need to figure out how to create a podcast and explain it to their students. The goal is for the students to create a podcast with interviews or narratives, including music, sound effects, and a publishable quality. The speaker plans to convert their recording to an MP3 file, use Audacity to mix in music and sound effects. So, I have a dilemma. I'm supposed to instruct my high school one English students on how to make a podcast. Me, who's basically a Luddite. So, I have to figure out how to make a podcast so that I can help them create their podcast. Now, since I am diametrically opposed to technology, how do I go about figuring out how to do this? And not only do I have to figure out how to do this, I have to figure out how to do this well enough to explain it to students so that they can understand it. So, what I'm wanting them to do is to create their podcast in terms of recording an interview or a memoir-type narrative. And then I want them to also intersperse within that recording music, like, say, a nice musical introduction. A conclusion. Intersperse sound effects so that the podcast becomes more interesting. And something that they could, in theory, publish to Spotify or any podcast app. So, that's the purpose of this recording. And now I'm going to attempt to convert this to an MP3 file, load it on Audacity, and then start mixing in some music and some sound effects.
