The transcription is a conversation between Uncle Darren and his nephew, Brennan Roche. Darren praises Brennan for his entrepreneurship and unique qualities, mentioning Brennan's strong capability, humility, and God-given vision to fund the kingdom of God. They discuss how God works in mysterious ways, calling unlikely individuals for important tasks. Darren shares a vision he had of Brennan leading a business successfully. Brennan credits God for his abilities and expresses his burning desire to fulfill his purpose. They touch on challenges faced and the importance of mentors in Brennan's life. The conversation highlights faith, humility, and determination in pursuing God's calling. Close this door, brother. You got some more in here if you need it. This is what I do for my best guests right there. Oh, man, it's such an honor. That's what I'm thinking. And so, I'm going to hook you up with the mic. We'll put your coffee over here. That's extra strength right there for an extra strong man. That's you. And then you got right here. What do you think of my mic setup? Do you like it? Dude, I love it. Isn't that great? Is that comfortable right there? Sing acapella real quick. La, la, la, la, la. Perfect. Are we live right now? Absolutely, we're live right now. I'm singing on the mic. This is perfect for me. It's the best day of my life. This is awesome. Get this mic. Are we live right now? Yeah, we're live. We're transmitting to the world right now. This is how we play. On air. At Legacy Studios. I first want to start off by welcoming my nephew, Brennan Roche. I love saying that name, Brennan Roche. It almost feels like it needs to come with an applause. Like, yay! It's such a great name. There's a story behind that. It used to be Roach, like a cockroach. Oh, wow. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for your loss. Yes, it is a loss. That's funny. Do you put an accent on your name? I do. Otherwise, people would be calling me Roach. It's a terrible affliction. It's so awkward. It really is. I've got to start by saying that as a man from England, I came to this country in 2001. I found myself the most beautiful person you could ever imagine in your life in Tracy. She's also my wife. We've been married for 25 years. I didn't realize at that time how blessed I would be and how that marriage would also come with what has truly proven to be literally a dream family. To have that is really an add-on to really a marriage. It's just a blessing. I want to say, Brennan, you're a part of that. We've known each other... How old are you now? 26. I think you had just been born. I want to say, though, I came down and I was there. You came straight from England to see me. I did. The Queen gave me the announcement. She's like, let's go see Mr. Brennan Roach. He sounds famous. He sounds proper. Go see him get birthed. I did. I watched you come out. I couldn't even dissect a rabbit when I was in school, so I could never see anything come out there. It's an honor to know you and to have watched you develop all these years. It's an honor to have you as part of my life. Wow. It's a true honor that you're an uncle to me, Darren. I remember years ago we were on a cruise together and we were talking about this business idea. The dreaded cruise. This is where I leave the room. I remember us talking about a business and that really birthed in me a desire to have my own business one day and fund the kingdom one day. I felt like that was my calling. I can only give that to you, Uncle Darren. You were the first person to ever put that desire and dream in me. Before that, I just wanted to work for a simple corporate job. You did that, Darren. I'm beyond grateful for you being in my life. Thanks for saying that. I'm glad you didn't mention the other story about the cruise. The one where I led you astray as you started saying really mean things about people. I'm glad you didn't bring that up. It's obviously bad for me. Never. Under the blood. It's covered under the blood. That happened, though. It definitely happened. That's when I was an atheist, or thought I was. You're an interesting guy to me. Sometimes an entrepreneur would just jump out of the canvas. It's obvious that person is designed very specifically to be that way and to make their own money doing that. You're different. A lot of entrepreneurs actually, initially, and this is where all the entrepreneurs switch off, they're actually not that smart. They know how to do something and they do it well and they're very good at it. They go it alone. Already, that's not that smart. To do life alone is definitely not good. They certainly know how to do one thing very well and they tend not to include others early in the journey. What I've noticed about you, Brunon, you have a very strong capability. Your mind is strong. Your willpower is incredibly strong, but your acuity is really, really strong. You're really great at trying to figure things out. I think an entrepreneur needs to excel in that area. You do really good in that area, but you don't fit what I call the bog standard entrepreneur template. You've got to admit that yourself. I don't. You don't. He doesn't. Look at this guy. He just doesn't fit that template. When God calls you into a certain area, it doesn't matter about the template. It's like walking up to a stained glass window and throwing a hammer through it. It's like people are like, what are you doing? That's worth a fortune. That's not what God's called me to do. Tell me a little bit about that calling, if you would. That reminds me of how we're all called to something that maybe man would not think you'd be called to. I remember King David, before he was king, when the prophet Samuel came to visit Jesse's house. Jesse got his best sons, his top, I think, eight sons. I think David was the ninth son. He brought them out to Samuel for Samuel to pick one to anoint as the future king of Israel. His own dad, David's own dad, Jesse had David stay out in the field because he was ashamed of David. It was really a stronghold of the devil on Jesse. Then the prophet Samuel said, where's your other son? Where's David? You have another son, he said. Jesse said, yeah, but he's out in the field. Well, bring him here, the prophet Samuel said. Right then and there, the prophet Samuel anointed David as the future king of Israel, the least likely person to be king of Israel. I feel like that's how God works in all of our lives. God wants to show people his great power, not our power, not our strength, that we're able to do it with our might, but it's by God's might. It's not by might, but it's by his spirit. Wow, I love that so much. I just looked under the table, by the way, I was like, does Brennan have like seven Bibles? Seven Bibles in his pocket. He just plucked that one out of thin air right there. I really feel like I've got a competitor here with Bible knowledge. I don't think I stand a chance. Both to the Lord. What I love about that is I love immediately the credit, of course, goes to God because when you pick a least likely, God has to step in. What I love, least likely people tend to be more humble. They walk with humility. They need God to lead. I've noticed that about you, Brennan, is that you're vulnerable. God, I think, has selected you for that way. You can absolutely and will be a living testimony of what God's going to do in your life. I've already spoken and seen great things over you. I'll share it real quick. I once was praying and I had this vision of Brennan really surrounded by a small group of people. He was sitting in a chair and he was directing them and sending them off to do something important regarding a business he had created. I still see that vision today. Brennan certainly has transformed since then. Back then he was wearing khakis and a shirt. That's what he's wearing right now. I can't even believe it. That's really true. He wasn't back then. I've seen his life develop. I still want to know where he gets his money from because he's just bought a house. He's making no money, so I have no idea where he's getting it from. I'm kidding, of course. Brennan's a very good steward of his money as well. You're humble in what you do. You do have good humility. You do attempt always to give it to God and to give him all the glory. At the age of 26, I can't remember his age. He looks so much older with that beard. He looks like Abraham Lincoln, quite honestly. He's a good looking guy. At the age of 26, gosh, what I was doing at 26 was certainly not stewarding anything to do with God. I was serving a pint of Guinness. See how fast that could go down the throat. Tell me a little bit about your entrepreneurship. What challenges have you had to overcome? I'm sure you've had plenty of chastisement even from people, people and naysayers that have said, hey, you know what? Why don't you just go get a job if you can? It's like, can you even do that? There's been something inside of you driving you to continue the quest. It's almost like a treasure hunter. I watch this show on TV, The Curse of Oak Island. They have to. It's like every Tuesday. They've been searching for this treasure for years. It goes back generations. Most people are like, quit already. There's no money down there. The guys that own the property keep going and keep going. Can you tell me your mindset on that? You see something in yourself that others don't see. Be as transparent as you can. What do you see in yourself, Brendan? That's so good, Uncle Darren. Honestly, I see myself without God as completely incapable, completely incapable for the vision that he's given me. It's not just my vision. It's really God's assignment. He gives each of that to his children, a unique assignment. It's up to us to seek God's face, seek God's voice, and hear from him what that assignment is, what is that purpose. I feel like, well, I know he's given me a vision to fund the kingdom of God and the rest of my life. That's what I want to do. It's a burning desire on me, Darren. It's something I can cry over, something that I go on sabbaticals and just have that burning desire. You follow that desire that God gives you, that burning desire. Number two, it's my mentors and people in my life. You, Uncle Darren, you've been such an encouragement to me over these many years. My grandpa, Jeff Wiley, Steve Reese, Pastor Gary Borgstedt, Robbie Lynn, who else? My first ever mentor, Pat Marcellus, owns a real estate brokerage, very successful. Those men, and my dad, my dad most of all, I spend the most time with my dad. He dedicates every Saturday morning to just talking about me and my life and helping guide me and helping me through obstacles. I'm beyond grateful for all those men in my life. That's what's really sustained me because there are naysayers out there. You just can't listen to that. You've got to just listen to God's voice and the voice of these divine appointments, these divine mentors that he's put in your life. I'm beyond grateful for these men. It's so good. You too, Uncle Darren. Thank you, brother. It's an honor to walk alongside you, man. Naysayers, their job, I feel like sometimes it's to take us away from our calling. Maybe they have jealousy issues, maybe something like that. Strategically, they try to harm people. I really believe that. There's some harm that they try to evoke into people's lives. It's not fun to be around or hear. There's a tragedy that happens when it's spoken, but there's one that follows when you're by yourself. It's a voice. We call it the enemy. It's one that can echo. I know Pastor Steve does the best echo. I almost did it. I literally almost tried to do the Pastor Steve echo, but I pulled out last minute. I thought it was about to come out. Nope, I'm not doing it. There's this echo that happens when you're at home by yourself, when everyone else is gone, when even after a day that's followed that negative person and all of a sudden you're sitting there or you're lying in bed trying to go to sleep and all of a sudden that whisper comes, Brennan, you're a fool. Brennan, you're not good enough. Brennan, give up the chase. What are you doing with your life? Haven't I told you already? The echo doesn't always sound like what was said, but we accentuate the echo into something even worse. Sometimes we can't get rid of it. I'd love to know the way you clean that up. Do you lean on people? Do you go into prayer? Do you cry? Do you cry out to God and ask Him, Lord, help me in this time, this trouble. I really would love to know how you do that so you can even help others. First of all, how do you personally get rid of that noise? Wow, Uncle Baron. That's a great question. I know me and you both do this thing. We read the Bible in the morning and when you open up the Word and you read the truth, the truth of God, what He says about you, what He says about life, and what He says about Himself, the truth overrides all the lies. It just cleans them out, like you said. It cleans it up. When you have truth in your heart, like the Bible says, I've hidden your Word in my heart. When you've hidden the Word of God in your heart, you can identify what are lies and what is truth. The truth is what you read in the Bible. That's how I clean it up. It's reading the Bible, opening it up every morning and doing my very best not to skip a morning. What about those night times, though? You've had an event. You've gone somewhere. You go home. You're reading in the morning, but you're probably going to jump into the Bible at night. Maybe you are, but you're lying there by yourself. Tell me a little bit about what you say, what you think. How do you process that? Do you sometimes get a little upset? Do you sometimes turn a little bit to fear and then realize that God's going to give us the spirit of fear? Tell me a little bit about how you process that in the evening. That's good, Darren. I do get upset sometimes. I do get fearful sometimes. I'm imperfect. What I do is I open up my hands and I say, Lord, I give this to you. If it's a situation with a person, I say, Lord, I give this person to you, Lord. I pray you prosper them, prosper their ways. I understand that the Lord is our hedge of protection. The Lord is our comfort and our source for all things. That will really comfort you. I encourage everyone in the church to do that. If you're in a difficult situation, which the Bible says you will have difficult times in this life. It's not all perfect. We'll be in perfection in heaven. When you do have those difficult times, think about God and say, God, I give it to you, Lord. The Bible also says the peace of God will wash over you and guard your heart by prayer and supplication. It's so powerful, the word. How do you personally handle those things when you're lying in bed at night, maybe a difficult situation came, because I know you're a strong man of faith. I get angry. I turn green. It's like, oh, wow. I think we're about to be a Marvel movie. That's how I do it. It's funny. I'm 57. I've been saved now for 13, almost 14 years. How I used to handle it was I would act out. If there was a banister right there made of wood, I'd probably be punching it. If there was language that could be used, I'd probably be sharing that. If I could dress someone down for something, I'd be dressing them down. I would harbor and hold on to that angst, that stress, that anxiety, that trouble forever until I fixed it, until I won over it, until someone else hurt because of it. I would absolutely do that. That was my go-to. I couldn't care less about what that meant to anyone else as long as I was okay again. I think what I used to do is there would have to be equal payback for the hurt that I'd received. If I hurt a lot, someone else was hurt equally or more. Like an eye for an eye. Certainly not biblical. It was terrible. Thank you, Jesus, that you have shown me your character that I know that I win in the end because you win. Thank you, Lord, for giving me the ability to trust you and not to deviate from that. Lord, when you were on this earth, you had people spit on you, cut you, slap you, crucify you, and your response wasn't hatred. It was compassion. Wow. I honestly, truly, especially as of right now, you know, Brennan, I'm going through cancer, I'm in a war. I reflect on the character of Christ more than I've ever done before. With that comes forgiveness first for others. It doesn't mean to say the problems don't occur. I run a business, as you know, and there are plenty of problems. Mostly great things are happening, but the problems that come that used to throw me off track, they don't anymore. They turn me to Him. Wow. I have an identity that's in Christ now and not in Darren. I draw on that always, and I'm so grateful for it. It's such a beautiful thing. It's peace. It's peace from God. It transcends all understanding, but it's something I have. I've been given it. It's a gift. He gave it to me. How I handle those things is literally just by listening to God and saying what I'm hearing. There's an instinct that comes when you follow Christ as long as we have. I think you more than me, quite honestly, but there's an instinct that comes. It's a natural response that starts to occur, and it's not ever anger. It's never that anymore for me, ever. I used to be the most impatient people ever. In the book of James, I'll read the scripture real quick. It says, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for knowing that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness, and that steadfastness have its full effect, by the way, that's patience, that you may be perfect to complete, lacking nothing. It goes on to say, and I think this is part of the scripture I love really the most too, is if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him. That testing of our patience and letting it have its full effect, I honestly believe that going from prior times when I was a non-believer to believer, I wasn't immediately patient. There was a course of time that had to expose itself, and it was gradual, and it's like a curve on a graph. It starts slowly, and eventually it starts going steeper, and the steeper it goes, the better you get at holding your tongue, and asking God for his guidance. It's just as late that I've, I can't say I've mastered it, because we're all on the upward call of Christ Jesus, and we're always looking to him to show us how we might improve and be better, but I've certainly gotten more refined at it. This is something really important that I do now, is if an incident happens that is troubling, I always wonder, is it troubling for me, or is it also troubling for them? If it's troubling for me, that's a personal prayer opportunity. If it's troubling for somebody else, I always ask God to give me the opportunity to discuss it with them, and I never pick the moment. I allow it to naturally come up, because God has orchestrated it in a way that it's happening, and because there's something about that that's so important that it's not in my timing, but it's in his timing. Not in a nutshell, because a nutshell would have been a lot quicker than that, but those are some of my thinking about how I deal with troubles. Wow, Baron. That's encouraging to hear. It all goes back to relationship with Christ. That's what it sounds like. It really does. Sonship. Sonship. Someone said to me the other day that people are out chasing purpose when really they haven't got sonship yet. It's like they really don't know who they are in Christ. They're chasing their purpose, and they wonder why they're lost. That's a really good observation, Baron. It's so easy to get in the trap of my identity is in my purpose. My identity is in my career, job, business, when really your first identity is I'm a son of the Most High. I'm a son of Jesus Christ, and He is well pleased with me. I think when we fully understand that truth, that's when the windows of heaven open up on your purpose. Then it becomes not about the purpose for you. It's almost like the purpose is what you do. Your career is on the side of what's actually primary, and that's I'm a son of Jesus Christ. I get to do this purpose, this assignment with Him, not for Him, not from Him, but with Him. That's so good, Baron. You know what? It makes me think of, if I think of it from a worldly perspective, what you've just shared is so counterintuitive. Imagine if I was a dad with a daughter that was dating you, and I heard you say that. I'd be like, oh, crap. I'm going to be supporting my daughter for the rest of my life. This guy's never going to make a dime. I know it's counterintuitive. Right, because you're going to a source that maybe a worldly person isn't aware of, but the source you're talking about is like an everlasting spring that comes up from the ground. That's right. Through obedience and trust, and really trusting in the Lord, then that well starts to spring and pour out. I forget the scripture exactly, but there's one in Psalms. There's always one in Psalms, by the way. It's a beautiful thing. I'm thinking also about discipleship right now, because you've been discipled, and you're still being discipled, and we all are still being discipled by someone. For anyone that's listening that isn't necessarily a believer to people that are just becoming so, discipleship is when someone takes you under their wing, and they start showing you the ways of God, to also help you get to your next level of achievement, but also so that you solidify your faith in Christ, and so you can then pass it on to others. That's what Jesus did. He discipled people, and that's what we do as followers. It's what we're called to do. Tell me a little bit about discipleship for you, the transition from being discipled and also now discipling others. Has that transition started to occur in your life? Talk to me a little bit about how fruitful that is, and how that feels. I feel discipleship is pivotal to every person's walk. You're exactly right, Uncle Darren. I too believe you're always being discipled until we go to heaven. We should also always be discipling. Once we're at that spiritual maturity level, maybe not a new believer, but you can start discipling as soon as you're being discipled. I think of the analogy of the Dead Sea in Israel. I went to Israel in 2023, and I swam in the Dead Sea, and it is the saltiest place, probably on Earth. The reason is because the Jordan is freshwater flowing into the Dead Sea, but there's no outlet. The Dead Sea has no outlets, and it just accumulates this salt and this high concentrate. You look at the Dead Sea, it has little salt mountains. There's so much salt, it forms these little hills within the Dead Sea. It's the craziest site. The density of the water is so high because of the salt that you float, and you can't go under. I think the analogy there is because there's so much symbolism in Israel that God is communicating to us. He communicates through His Word, of course. You don't just get communicated to by landmarks, but I think the symbol here is when you don't have an outpouring, when you don't have an outflow, where you're sharing the gospel with others, discipling them, then you become like the Dead Sea. It's salty. Nothing lives in it. You're just intaking, intaking, intaking, and no outpouring. That's the beauty of discipleship is you're intaking from somebody who's at a higher level in their spiritual walk. Not a comparison thing, but maybe somebody has some wisdom they can share with you that you don't have, and you, too, have wisdom that somebody else doesn't have that you can share with them. There's a continuous flow of that, I feel. What do you think? Darren, I couldn't agree more. For me, I will be honest with you, at my age and where I'm at right now with everything, I want nothing more than to pour out the outflow that you talked about. Right now, it's become very highlighted, the fact that life is short. I think I'll be here for many years to come, but there's certainly this emphasis. There's an emphasis on a shortness of life and what that means. I've been shown the meaning of living every day like it's your last. Life is about people, and I want to pour out as much as I can. I want to leave pathways to Jesus. That's really what I truly want to do, whether it's with you or whether it's with my children, especially them, of course, and Tracy. I don't want to leave any residue that lands on Darren. I just want to leave the footprints that lead to him. I call it pathways. Any chance I get to do that, I'm all about that. About seven years ago or so, I had this vision. It was of me lying in a bed because I like resting. I was about to close my eyes and go to heaven. It was seven years ago. As I looked up, it was the most beautiful thing. I saw all of these people around me looking down upon me, and every single one of them, I had had an opportunity to pour into their life in some way, shape, or form. That's a lot of people I bet you saw. I only saw about seven. I was like, oh, man. I've got to step up my game. I remember when the vision came, the peace that came with it. To me, it marked an image of beauty. I'm smiling now because I see it again. To me, it is about other people. I've been so blessed in my life. I'm not just talking financially. I just mean relationships with circumstances. Every day is a blessing. The least I can do is give back. That vision, to me, is just a tremendous vision. I believe that'll happen one day. I'll look forward to it. It'll be great. Brandon, when I think about it, there's also an importance placed on us by our Heavenly Father to really have hope in others. It's like we press in for prayer for ourselves, of course. We pray for people all the time. There are times when God places other people on our hearts, people to pray for. He even gives us vision for other people. I'm sure you've seen it. Yeah. Has there ever been a time where God has placed a vision on your heart for someone else? Maybe it didn't even make sense, but it's something that you just know in your heart is true. That's good, Uncle Darren. Someone does come to mind. It's your son, Cameron, my cousin, one of my best friends. Cameron's been always there for me. He's always a joyful presence. That's a gift that God has given us. He's given our family the gift of Cameron. All my cousins, Naomi, Cameron has a unique gift of joy. Whenever you're around him, you just can't help but laugh and smile. Everybody who knows Cameron knows that for a fact. When he busts out with his calendar savant skills and tells you what day your birthday's going to be in 2035, 2040, you can't help but smile. To answer your question, I've felt like I've gotten an impression maybe on my heart, something to pray for, something to hope for for Cameron. I really do believe he's going to have a special place in a dark world. I believe he's going to be an actor one day. All part of God's timing. Like we were mentioning, God uses the people that we think are the least likely, myself included. To confound the wise. Yeah. I forget exactly how that scripture goes. That's really great. I know there are many instances in the Bible where Jesus heals someone. Of course, we don't see the after effect of that. We don't see the life change of that. We don't hear about what happened next to that person. My guess is incredible things happened next to that person. Their lives were changed and they spoke of nothing else but of that miracle. As they wandered back to the dark places that maybe have been in their villages or their lives, they were able to be part of transforming it to light. I feel like that's going to be Cameron's place. He's going to be a light in Hollywood or wherever in the film world that he goes. I feel like he's going to be everybody's favorite character on a movie or TV show. I don't know. I felt that vision for him. That hope. There's a discipleship element to this that's important. It leads straight from our discussion about that. Of course, we're supposed to take the elements of what God gives us in terms of vision for us. We're supposed to follow and pursue those. When they also come for someone else, there's an onus on us from God to help steward that and to walk alongside other people. That's exactly what you're saying about Cameron. You've seen things in him that maybe he hasn't fully seen in himself. Because of that, you're entrenched in his story, in his life, and you can disciple him in a way that leads him towards something you believe God has in store for him. Thank you for doing that. I agree, Uncle Darren. I always want to be a wind in Cameron's sails after God, after you. I'm always intentional to encourage him. That's great. We've talked about a lot of things. Discipleship, of course, being a very important part. Tell me about your next steps. Right now, you're probably in a little bit of a waiting season. It's like the guy at the starting lines of a Grand Prix, you're like, man, it's noisy around here. Everyone's revving their engines. They're like looking for the checkered flag to come out, the guy walking out with it, climbing up on the podium. Sometimes in life, you don't see the checkered flag yet. Where are you at in terms of being a Grand Prix? Do you see the checkered flag in your business scope, what you're trying to do, or are you still waiting for that to emerge? I would ask you this, what do you do in the meantime? How do you consider that and keep yourself energized? That's a lot to think about, but any insight on that? That's a great question, Uncle Darren. I definitely have a strategic plan and vision for the company, and we have not met that vision yet. That's the best vision, somewhere that you're not already. I'm very happy with where the company's at. It's profitable. We have great margins. It comes from years of trial and error on our systems and processes. We finally achieved that, but it's nowhere near where I believe God's going to take it one day. It may not even be in my lifetime. It may be my children. Who knows? I'm believing the vision that God has given me for what He wants my place in the kingdom to do. The business is nowhere near it. I see where we need to go. It's a matter of developing partnerships with organizations, utilizing our point-of-sale software, AI, social media marketing software, and bringing that to their clients. That's where the strategic plan is, but we're nowhere near where we're going to be, to answer your question. I do see that checkered flag. What we're doing in the meantime is you're taking care of customers. You're treating people the way you want to be treated—vendors, clients, contractors, employees. There's no such thing as an overnight success. It looks like an overnight success when it hits, but what people don't see is the 10 years, 20 years, however long it takes of you treating people the way you want to be treated, working hard, depending on God. Then one day, God says, all right, it's time. You can handle it, like the parable of the talents, where one servant buried all of his talents, buried all of the money the master gave him because he was too scared to take a risk. Then the other two servants invested it and made a return for the master. I feel like we're all given that. We're all given talents, abilities, resources by God, and it's up to us to take care of it. I love that. The Bible says without vision, people perish. With vision, people excel. That's a key component. You have vision for your business. You can have vision even when you don't see a checkered flag coming out. That's the whole point. It's faith. We're believing in what we don't see. It's going to come to pass. Going all the way back to when you were younger and you had that really insertion of faith into your heart by Jesus to say, hey, you're an entrepreneur and this is what I want you to do and you're still following it today. Years later. That's faith. To finish up, I want to ask you this. What would you say to someone right now, a young person actually, even the same age as you are, a little younger, they're in the law. They've tried so many different ways to get their business going. They've run into roadblocks over and over and over again. They've had people speaking negativity over them their whole lives. All they want to do is get ahead. They're struggling. They're on the precipice of maybe just getting a job, wherever that might be. They're downtrodden. Their heart's broken. They just don't know where to turn. They know God planted the seed in their heart that there is something that's going to come to pass. What would you say to that person? There are some younger guys that have come to me in the past with that exact question. I tell them, look, you're not alone. We've all done it. I know you've definitely done it, Darren, in building your business, which is very successful now. All glory to God. Mine too. What I would tell them is go on a sabbatical. Get in the habit of doing that. It doesn't have to be expensive. Go somewhere alone where you can be free from distractions. Turn off the phone and just be in the presence of God and ask Him, Lord, what do you want to tell me right now? I'm listening. I'm listening, Lord. He will give you what you need, whether that's encouragement, whether that's truth to defeat those lies, as well as direction. He gives you direction in your life, direction in your business, which is ultimately His business. That's where they can get the inflow, the intake of what they need to keep going, to keep going. One day you're successful. That's what I would say. I was reading the Bible this morning. I forget the scripture. It's either in Mark or Luke, chapter 6. It's where Jesus went up on a mountaintop and He spent all night praying to His Heavenly Father, asking Him really about who the disciples should be. It caught my eye this morning that it was all night. He prayed all night. He's Jesus, right? Shouldn't He know already? Even Jesus had to pray all night to get God's exact will about who those twelve might be. That is so powerful to me. If He has to do it, then we should know that we have to do it, too. There's a pressing ineffect that needs to happen. That just caught my eye this morning. I was like, wow, if He has to do it, we have to do it, too. It's a whatever-it-takes mentality. A little bit like me right now trying to beat this cancer. It's whatever-it-takes. I'm fasting right now. It's Day 12. Water only. I'm not sure if you knew that. Because God asked me to do that. It's 28 days. I'm all in. We have to be all in with God no matter what. Even if the phone is not ringing in business or there's silence all around you and no customers are calling and God says do it, we have to do it. It's obedience all the way. That's so good, Darren. Great conversation. We literally had scripted nothing. We didn't know what we were going to talk about. This is where we've gone. I think it's going to be a useful listen to young people. Old people. It doesn't matter who. Entrepreneur types. It's about pressing in and all that. I've got to ask you, would you mind closing us down in some prayer? Absolutely, Uncle Darren. I feel led on my spirit to ask this question for the audience because it's kind of burning on me like I want to know what is sustaining your faith, Uncle Darren? What are those habits? What is that that's sustaining your faith, brother? Me right now? My faith is directly attached to my health especially right now. It's also attached to all the people around me. I think about my daughter Naomi, my son Cameron, Tracy, you, the whole family, my family in England. I think about impact to friends and I think about the testimony that's being spoken right now through the things I'm a part of. Outside of my health, that is sustaining my faith. I want that so bad. I want there to be a testimony for Jesus so bad that I am literally going to press in as hard as I need to. I'm going to listen to every living word that comes out of that Bible that is spoken to me in prayer and I'm going to obey it like nothing ever before and I'm pushing everything else to one side in order to really testify that Jesus is our Lord and Savior and it's Him that gives us strength when we are weak. That's what's sustaining me. When I hear things like my mom and dad say they're praying for me, that's a beautiful thing. When I hear my brothers say something along the lines of well, I know why you're doing so well is because you have faith. When I see my daughter cozy up to me in the morning and give me a hug and just smiling at me because she's been touched by seeing me and Tracy, my wife, seeing our faith. That inspires me. I want to leave a legacy for Jesus, not for me. The pathway has to lead to Him and that alone is sustaining me. God's going to take care of my health. I'm His. I'm a child of Jesus. I'm a child of Heaven. I belong to Him and so I don't have to worry about crossing the line into eternity even because I've already won the race. That's what sustains me, Brennan, is other people and just really feeding into their lives. Wow, Uncle Darren, I'm tearing up. I love you, man. I love you too, Uncle Darren. Let's do that. Let's finish up with a little bit of prayer and we'll take it from there. Father God, we lift your name on high in this gathering, Lord. You say, where two or more gather there, my presence will be, Lord. Your presence is with me and Darren, God, in this room. Lord, I pray that all the listeners out there are inspired by your word, God, are inspired by your power, God, and follow you, Lord. Lord, we just lift up Darren's health, Lord. We pray for a complete healing in Jesus' name, Lord. You are the ultimate healer. Jehovah Ratha, that is your name, Lord. We put our faith in your name, Lord. Jehovah Ratha, the Lord, our healer. Jehovah Jireh, the Lord, our provision, God. We put our faith in not man's works, God. We don't put our faith in things of this world, God, but we put our faith in your character, God, who you are, God. Those aren't just names you do, God. Those aren't just things you do, but it's who you are, Jehovah Ratha. We pray that, Lord. I thank you so much for this time with Uncle Darren, Lord. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. Amen. Thank you, Brennan. Thanks for having me, Uncle Darren. I mean, this has just been a great time. That was awesome. Oh, my gosh. Something about this room, you can just relax and open up. Legacy Studios did it again. They did it again. God did it more. Thank you for coming in today. We'll chat soon. See you, Uncle Darren. Bye.
