As you can see from the trailer attached, Malcom Marie is a romantic and black and white film that was released on February 5th in 2021. The main actors in Malcom Marie are Zendaya, who plays Marie, and her boyfriend who plays Malcom. He is actually a producer in the movie. He writes and things like that. And when they come back from one of his shows, he notices that Marie is upset with him. So the base of the movie kind of begins with an argument because he's asking her what's wrong. And throughout that argument, it just kind of builds on other issues in the relationship. Through this, we see a lot of different communication methods in which they are just trying to understand each other, trying to seek better knowledge of what the other one wants. And my biggest takeaway from the movie is that Malcom and Marie is not just a typical romantic love story, but more so about the story of love and the type of downfalls and hard conversations that you have to have in a relationship for it to maintain. You've noticed throughout the movie that Marie tells Malcom that she's all he has left. She's just trying to reach out to him and tell him, like, no one else is going to have you the way that I have you. So we really need to come together and try to understand each other. That's an important part of the movie because we notice that they kind of stop arguing as much and just kind of seek to understand each other, seek to hear each other out. And that's really important because that has to happen in relationships. Like, if you're talking at each other or in relationships as in boyfriend and girlfriend or just two co-workers or whatever kind of relationship, that kind of communication is important because if you don't understand each other, then it's like talking to a brick wall, which isn't going to get you anywhere. And I think we could all take that away from this movie. I really enjoyed the film being different by showing the negative forms of communication because I feel like a lot of times movies are very much so fairytale endings, perfect, redrawn up, happy ending, and that's not the reality of communication in relationships or work or anything. Hard conversations have to be had. And even though it may be seen as negative the way they speak to each other, the end result is positive because they don't just break up or pout. Like, they're letting it all go, which will lead to the betterment of them. Whenever this movie came out, it was not like a really sought-after, talked-about movie, but I think once people began to watch it, you ended up hearing people talking about it. Like, different people had different takes. Like, oh, wow, this movie really spoke to me being in a relationship, and then more people in a relationship started watching it because communication also has that effect. So it was just like through the grapevine, people began watching and listening and seeking to get the bigger picture of the movie, so maybe watching it more than once because I know I've watched it like three different times. And I just feel like it's a very interesting movie, very interesting film. Zendaya is a great actor. I think I love how they were just able to identify their differences and really horn in on them. That's something that the world could do a better job of, and this film really expresses that. I really enjoyed doing this project over this movie because there's so many different communications to look at and talk about, so many different little arguments and just a lot to talk about, a lot to write over. So I really enjoyed this project and doing this movie over that. Thank you. Bye.
