The speaker, Kai, talks about their love for the series "The Boys" on Amazon Prime and their excitement for the spinoff series "Gen V." They praise the characters and acting in both shows, and mention their favorites. They also mention that the shows tackle important issues and have great storylines. Kai recommends watching both series, but says it's not necessary to watch "The Boys" before watching "Gen V." Hello all, my name is Kai, and I am here today to talk about one of the series that I found amazing in the last few weeks. It is Gen V on Amazon Prime. First off, I am a huge fan of Amazon Prime's series, The Boys. It is absolutely diabolical, and I love the characters in it, the good, the bad, and even Homelander. Although it is impossible for me to root for Homelander, I do root for Anthony Starr. What an amazing portrayal and excellent acting. Since The Lord of the Rings and Star Trek, I am a gigantic admirer of Karl Urban, too. Because of this show, I am now an even bigger fan of many others. I love them all, but my favorites include Kimiko, and Frenchie, and M.M. Overall, I am never sure what is exactly going to happen in every episode, but that is what makes it so much fun. So when I heard there was going to be a spinoff, ecstatic I was, and am. I easily enjoyed Gen V as much as I enjoyed The Boys. Once again, I love the interesting storylines and great characters. My new favorites were Marie and Jordan, but everyone was awesome. Despite the show being a lot of fun, I believe it wrestles with very important and timely issues, too. In the end, it had some great lines and, I would argue, really great insights. After all, not all suits are bad, just like not all humans are good. Everyone makes mistakes, carries regrets, hurts people, and has been hurt by others. But it matters, what do you do next? Should you watch both? By both, I mean Gen V and The Boys? Yes. Do you have to watch The Boys in order to watch Gen V? No, but it might help. Thank you for checking out today's episode.
