Nothing to say, yet
Kevin Chase from Adrian, Michigan is considering starting a podcast because people have told him he has a radio voice. He is amazed by the technology that allows him to share his thoughts with the world. Kevin is an assistant pastor and his life's verse is from Romans 13:11, which emphasizes the importance of spreading the gospel. He celebrates Christmas as the birth of Jesus Christ. Kevin has a family and has been married for 25 years. He believes in leaning on God and casting our cares to Him. Kevin is grateful for the support and plans to have music and cover design for his podcast. He hopes to keep the episodes around 5 to 10 minutes and wishes everyone a happy new year filled with blessings. He encourages rejoicing and sharing the message of the living Savior. So here we are, this is Kevin Chase from Adrian, Michigan, and I have to ask myself a question. Why would I want to do a podcast? Well, I guess for years and years I've heard people in different places that I've gone to and said, you know what, you have a radio voice. And I didn't know what that really meant, but I have always thought about maybe doing some type of radio, but I think this is really important. And I really never thought about a podcast a long time ago when they first came out, but now with technology as it is, I'm thinking about doing it. And so this might be my first podcast on this day after Christmas, December 26th, and it's about 10 minutes until 6 p.m. here, and strangest weather we've ever had I think in the 18 years nearly that I've lived here in Adrian, 56 degrees today, earlier today, no snow, and I'm just somewhat in awe at how beautiful it is. It's really like a spring day today, and I don't see any snow in the forecast for the immediate future, but anyway, it's a joy to be able to have technology like this to be able to send out my thoughts around the world. And so just a little bit about myself, I'm an assistant pastor of a church here in Adrian, Michigan. I trusted Jesus Christ as my Savior on Monday, January 20th, 1992, I'm trying to think here. It's been 32 years nearly, and everyone says, what's your life's verse? Not everyone has a life's verse, I've had one for many years, and that is found in the New Testament in the book of Romans, Romans chapter 13, verse 11, which says in that knowing the time that now it is high time to wake out of sleep, for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed, and I think it's so important to get the gospel out, to let people know about the living Savior, Jesus Christ. The world, most of the world celebrates Christmas, and they celebrate it for different reasons, but I would say that the main reason should be at least the celebration of the birth of the Christ child, our Savior, Jesus Christ. And so that is why I celebrate, that's why my family celebrates, and I have a family of three daughters, my oldest is in college, my youngest is a freshman in high school, the very school that I'm the principal of, and my wife and I have been married, well, this will be our 25th year in June, and so we're very excited about that, really feels more like just a few weeks than 25 years, but it has been a joy to have the family I have, and I'll talk more about many things in the upcoming podcast, but I just want to say that God is good, He always is good, and no matter what circumstances we go through, we know that if we lean upon Him, we put our cares, the Bible says to cast our cares, to throw them away, not to hold on to them, not to let it fester in our hearts and minds, but to cast them, and He will not only receive them, and He will remove them in due time, His answer is always yes, no, or just wait, and I know that He has provided tremendously in my life and our family's lives, and so I just wanted just to thank you for your support, and in upcoming days and weeks, we'll try to have some introductory music, and I believe my oldest daughter, Emily, she is working on some type of a cover design for this podcast, but it is a joy to be added to the multiple thousands of people that do podcasts around the world every day, and I'm just going to add to the list, I guess, but again, thank you so much for listening to this podcast, I'll try to keep it right around five to ten minutes at the most each week, maybe do about once a week, or maybe I'll just do some short ones each day, just kind of give my thoughts about a verse, verse of the day, but anyway, I hope each of you have a very happy new year as we approach the new year in just a matter of a few days, and I really am praying that 2024 will be just a great year, filled with blessings and promises, and you know, in a world where things are just so awry, and it's really sad, and you can really get down by reading the news, but we have a living Savior, we are loaded daily with benefits, and we have nothing to fear whatsoever, because fear is sin, and we aren't supposed to be fearing, we're supposed to be rejoicing, and praising the Lord, but most importantly, telling people about that living Savior, so with that, I think we'll finish up for right now, and continue on with this podcast in the days to come. Thank you so much, God bless you, and take care.
