I just don't know. I don't know. You need to find another pastor. If your pastor's view on homosexuality has evolved and evolving, you find another pastor. If your pastor only preaches you up and helps you prosper and only is there to help you feel better and to get richer so he can donate more to his church, you need to find another church. God is not an ATM. We don't give tithes and offerings so we can call on God later when we need or want something. What do we do? What should you do? Well first, we shouldn't argue with these people. Reminds me of a story about the donkey and the tiger. So the donkey told the tiger, the grass is blue. And the tiger replied, no the grass is green. So the discussion became heated and the two decided to submit the issue to arbitration and so they approached the lion. And before reaching the clearing in the forest where the lion was sitting, the donkey started screaming, your highness, isn't it true that the grass is blue? The lion replied, true the grass is blue. The donkey rushed forward and continued, the tiger disagrees with me and contradicts me and annoys me. Please punish him. The lion then declared, the tiger will be punished with five years of silence. The donkey jumped with joy and went on his way, content in repeating the grass is blue. The tiger accepted his punishment, but he asked the lion, your majesty, why have you punished me after all the grass is green? The lion replied, in fact the grass is green. The tiger asked, so why do you punish me? The lion replied, that has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green. The punishment is because it is not possible for a brave intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with a donkey and on top of that to come to me and bother me with that question. The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who doesn't care about truth or reality, but only the victory of disbelief and illusion. You can never waste time in discussions that make no sense. There are people who for all the evidence prescribed to them do not have the ability to understand and others who are the only thing that they want is to be right even if they aren't. When ignorance screams, intelligence shuts up, their peace and tranquility are worth more. So, so many people all they're worried about is their ego, their pride, their fame, their fortune, and a lot of it is fortune. Some of the churches see on TV, you know, internet, it's all about the money. They get down, they start screaming, you know, if you donate this much God will bless you that much. That's all they care about. It's not about, you never hear about sin, you never hear about hell and how real hell is. So, if that's all they're preaching about, you need to find another church because that's not the truth. There's more to this than good news. I guess, you know, in the end it's all good news, but if they're not telling you the bad news about being a sinner to get to the good news, you need to find another church. So, first we should all be like the Bereans in Acts 17.11. These were far, these were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica in that they received the word with all readiness and searched the scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. So, we need to be prepared. We need to read the Bible, study the Bible. We all have God's word. We need to use it. If you don't think what is being taught is right, question the passage. You're probably not the only one questioning something he said. 1 John 4.1, 1 John 4.1, Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. Share your concerns with your friends, but do so in love. 1 Timothy 4.6, In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished upon the words of faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following. Don't be afraid to speak up. Churches need people to stand up for the truth today. Jesus warned us that false prophets and teachers will come and will attempt to deceive. Some believers in churches today are altering the scriptures to fit their own needs and desires. They are changing the application and interpretation of God's word to make their doctrines more appealing and more suitable to the world today. Jesus warned us against being gullible believers. The most effective way to guard ourselves against deceptive teachers and false doctrine is to know the truth. Any believer who studies the Bible carefully will spot a counterfeit and will be able to identify false doctrines. As Christians, we are to study God's word and judge all teachings by what the scripture says. God wants us to become mature Christians so that we lose our gullibility and become able to discern truth from falsehood. When the first Christian is from the milk, don't stay with the milk. Go into the meat. Don't stay babies. Grow and mature in your knowledge of the word. A mature believer is not tricked by false teachings. A mature Christian can stand against lies and deceit. There has been an explosion of erroneous doctrines, false prophets, and unbiblical teachings that have flooded Christianity as a whole. Therefore, it's more important than ever before to carefully consider both the source and the content of the teaching before you accept as truth. Don't fall for the show, the lies, the music, the entertainment. Sunday morning has become a feel-good happy hour. Preachers are up there telling them what people want to hear so they'll come back. Everything's okay. God loves you. We love you. You're just fine the way you are. No, we're really not. We're all sinners. We're all sinners in need of the Savior. These false preachers and teachers are loving their flock straight to hell. Please don't fall for any of this. Be wary of what you see and hear. You can find a church that preaches the truth that we are all sinners that need a Savior, that without the cleansing blood of Jesus, the gospel is true. Jesus is the only way. Hell is a real place for those that deny Jesus and don't accept Him as their Lord and Savior will spend eternity separated from God. I'm so thankful that I found the Missionary Baptist Church where I know the truth is taught and know Jesus is Lord. If you're looking for a church, find a good Missionary Baptist Church or any church that you know your preacher teaches and preaches the truth and that you stand with Jesus and for Jesus. No church is perfect. Just keep your eyes on Jesus and read and learn your Bible and make sure you surround yourself with the truth and with people that know the truth. Thank you.
