A year ago, Girls Who Walk was founded with the aim of bringing women together, tackling loneliness and creating a safe, inclusive space for women across the city. The organisation also takes part in partnership walks, the most recent being a walk in the Egal Hotel to help women understand more about the recent Leeds Spicing Report. The remains of the former Marsh Lane station were discovered during an evacuation carried out in the city centre. The station was built around 190 years ago, and a curator of the industrial history, John McGoldrick, called it a real tangible part of the city's past. A biker has suffered a life-changing foot injury in a multiple bike crash that happened in Leeds, sending three people to hospital. With repair, we're taking it back into our own hands and that's why it's powerful. Scrap believe taking back control from clothing companies can start with community action, like hosting a second-hand clothes swap.
