The host of My New Zone for Women discusses the importance of organizing important documents in case of emergencies. This includes creating a medications list and emergency contact list, which can be saved electronically or in hard copy. It is important to have this information readily accessible for doctors and loved ones in case of incapacitation. The host also recommends keeping legal documents in a waterproof and fireproof state. The audience is encouraged to download the medication list and complete it with all vitamins and supplements, as well as create an emergency contact list. The host offers assistance in setting up the file system and emphasizes the importance of being prepared for emergencies. Hello and welcome to My New Zone for Women. I am your host, Kami Zonin, and today we're going to talk about getting your important documents in order so that you know where to find the hard copy or electronic copy when there's an emergency and you are in need. Today we're going to talk about the help section, so we're going to have a medications list and emergency contact list, and in the notes below you can click on the link for each of the documents or the hard copy and also a file set up to save on your computer. And I think it's really important to have access to it on your computer or somehow on your phone so when you are going to the doctors, which I recently just found some new doctors and have to list all of the supplements and medications that I'm taking. It may seem like it's not a huge deal to include everything, but it really can be. I found that out. Some of my supplements don't work well together, so it's important for your doctors to know exactly what it is you're taking. And then not to mention if ever there was a situation where you were not able to speak or incapacitated, it's important for everybody to know exactly what it is you are taking so that your medicines don't have fatal interactions with one another. You also want to have anything that you're allergic to and your pharmacy listed. So be sure to complete that as best you can. Every week I fill up my pill box with all of the supplements I need to take and so doing it now is a good time to actually write all of that down. We also in our electronic portal, client portal that we use, are able to save all of those important documents for you. So in the event you do need it and don't have it with you, you can always give us a call and we'll get that right to you. Now I recommend if you'd like to keep things in hard copy, some stuff has to be saved in hard copy, your will, legal documents, all that's going to be in a binder or in a folder and you want to keep that stuff in a waterproof and fireproof state. So that if God forbid there's ever a hurricane or super storm Sandy and neither here in Florida so hurricanes are a threat regularly. So you want to be able to grab it quickly and be on the move with it. Another great use of this I would say is if you do have to go into the hospital in an emergency situation then one of your loved ones can grab your medicine list for you. It will be very easy to find in your safe or on your computer and again we will save that here for you as well. So I'm going to ask that you do download the medication list. Complete that with everything you take, even your vitamins and then also the emergency contact list is really, really important as well. We like to know who we should contact for you in an emergency in the event we can't reach you or we see something is going on. So these are two really important pieces you want to put in there. Getting the whole file system together can take some time so we'll just do it in little bits and pieces starting with the healthcare part of it because I do feel that's super important. If you have any questions or need any help setting this up, please do not hesitate to call my firm. I'm firm. We're happy to help you and make sure that you have all of this in good order so that if an emergency arises you'll be prepared. Thank you so much for tuning in today. I hope you found this useful. Please feel free to share it with your friends and loved ones and we will continue with the other pieces of the important documents. We'll just be a little snippet so you can do it at your leisure when you have time but don't delay too long. Thanks again for tuning in. Be well. Be kind to one another. Take care.
