The speaker starts by talking about football and the Super Bowl, but then shifts to discussing the future of Bill Belichick, speculating that he may not get hired as a head coach this year. The speaker suggests that Belichick may take a year off or potentially be hired as a defensive assistant. They mention the Falcons as a potential landing spot, but note that they have already gone in a different direction. The conversation then transitions to the NBA trade deadline and the potential trades of Dejounte Murray and Kyle Kuzma. They discuss possible destinations for Murray, including the Lakers and the Jazz, and suggest that the Lakers need another scorer and Murray would be a good fit. They also mention the possibility of Murray going to the Jazz to help build for the future. As for Kuzma, the speaker suggests that he could be traded to the Warriors, as they need help at the forward spot. They mention Andrew Wiggins as a possible trade piece in this scenario. The speaker also suggests I'm going to give you a quick little rant here, but I do want to talk some football. We'll specifically go into the Super Bowl later. I want to mix in some basketball here, as that's probably what's going to keep us over for the next few months, as we're going to sit and wait for another six months for more NFL football after this. I'm not going to talk about that either, just going to pretend like everything is okay. Sticking with football here, I want to talk about the greatest coach of all time, possibly Bill Belichick. Being without a job, and we'll start with Will here, do you think Bill Belichick will get hired this year? As a head coach, I don't think so. Just because of the fact, if you look around the league, most of the 32 teams already have their head coach in position to fill it, to be honest with you. I don't know what team is likely needed deep in the corner, but going back to what I said, as a head coach now. Okay, yeah, I get that. What you got, Braxton? Yeah, I don't think he's going to get hired anywhere as a head coach. As a defensive coordinator, maybe, but it would seem like he'd already be hired by now as a defensive coordinator, because he's a great defensive coach. I think he might just take a year off, maybe, or he might get hired as a defensive assistant somewhere, somewhere in the defensive field. Definitely not offensive, though. I doubt the offensive anywhere. For sure. Yeah. Definitely not. Yeah. I personally think Belichick probably, like you said, takes that gap year, sort of what we just seen Cliff Kingsbury do after he got signed to Washington. Yeah, that was yesterday, but I thought the only team that Belichick was actually going to sign with would be the Falcons, because he went through, I believe, two separate interviews with them, and they obviously decided to go a different way, which is, I feel like that says a lot. He might be the best coach ever, achievement-wise, or all that, but the fact that he can't get a interview, there was, I believe when the off-season started, there was eight head coaching vacancies, and now we're down to, what, two? Mm-hmm. Got to do something about that. Yeah, one or two. Something along those lines. You should have done more interviews with other teams, not just the Falcons, but then you look at just the way the league's kind of heading, and the Titans hiring the Bengals offensive, the young Bengals offensive coordinator, the Seahawks hiring the young Ravens defensive coordinator. Mm-hmm. The league's just kind of shifting. Youth wins. Yeah. Yeah, that's how it is, and harsh reality, but I think best-case scenario would probably be for Belichick to take a year off and maybe get a decent team to work with next year. This is Sports Uncaged. We'll be back after the break. You're listening to WCC Radio, Coastal Carolina University's student-run radio station. I'm your host, Christian Mitchell, joined here by Braxton and Will. This is Sports Uncaged. We are talking a little bit about possibly the GOAT coach in the beginning. I want to kind of switch things over to the NBA side of things, as we were previously talking about. The trade deadline is this week. If the trade deadline's going on, you know the Lakers are always involved somehow. You know, Woege and Shams are going crazy on Twitter, and honestly, one of my favorite parts of the year. I feel like after the trade deadline is when things kind of start to pick up in basketball. You can look more towards the playoffs and just the overall season. Of course, there's some stars on the market, as seemingly as always with the NBA. Two of the biggest and two of the most thrown out names we've had so far are Kyle Kuzma and DeJounte Murray. Both kind of, again, wild cards, whether they... The addition of one of these is going to completely change the kind of outlook of what your team's going for this year, whether you're buying in or selling, rebuilding, whatever. I want to start with DeJounte Murray here. He's the better player. Bigger contracts, way harder to trade with. But seemingly, the writing's been on the wall for him that the whole experiment with Trae Young has not worked, or at least not to their expectations. So it is expected that he gets moved, and I'm going to kick it over to Braxton. Where would you like to see DeJounte Murray go? Yeah, I think if Lakers want to make anything happen, it's got to be Lakers back up. That's got to make this move. They need another scorer, and Murray can score. Murray's elite when it comes to scoring. I don't want to say elite, but he's very, very solid when it comes to scoring. I think Lakers need a guy like him, because a lot of young talent on that team, a ton of young talent on that team. None of them have really hit their ceiling or even close to that. Murray's getting there. If not already there, I think Murray needs to be on the Lakers if they want to make any type of playoff run sometime soon. Especially with 45-year-old LeBron. Right. Exactly. What have we got, Will? Honestly, if you see him going to the Utah Jazz, if he goes to the Jazz, I believe one piece that they're missing, he could be playing Powell or Sexton and everything like that. So the contract, the new contract, it's about a kick-in and everything like that. But if they can find a third kick, I could see him going to the Jazz. The Jazz, and it's kind of polar opposites here between the Jazz and the Lakers. The Lakers would be bolstering. If they make this move, you're like, oh wow, they're really pushing in for this playoff run. And then the Jazz, it's like, okay, you got DeJounte. You got Sexton, Larry Markin over there. You're starting to build. This is not your year, but maybe next year, you spend some money in free agency. You see how things play out. Personally, no bias here, but I wanted DeJounte Murray on the Sixers. I wanted the Sixers to use some of their assets to have him play alongside Maxie. I thought that would be perfect. But with Joel going down, that's a, I don't want to say a sunken ship, but I would be very surprised. It seems that the Lakers and the Jazz are the only two teams that have made serious offers and calls on Murray. But I think, I don't, the Lakers are, they're bound to get everybody. I don't know if they're going to pull the trigger here. I think they're going to trade away D'Angelo Russell almost no matter what, but I don't know if that's necessarily to the Hawks here in this trade. Just the way they hold Austin Reeves up on their, Austin Reeves is a dog, he's a hooper, but they value him so much, I don't think they'd give him up in a DeJounte Murray trade. So I'm, I don't want to say the Jazz, but I'm kind of leaning the Jazz side here, just give them something. He's under contract, it's a big contract, but at least you know he's there, you have him signed there. Over on the Kyle Kuzma side, Kuzma's on the Washington Wizards here. They are terrible. Like, they're not the Detroit Pistons, but they're pretty close, man, they're pretty close. And Kuzma is similar to Murray here, he's younger, he's on a shorter deal, two year deal, but that's kind of perfect for, I mean, not the Lakers, obviously no reunion there, but a team like that contending. So I'm going to start with Braxton, where do you think Kyle Kuzma ends up being traded, or do you think he'll be traded at all? I think he'll be traded, because Wizards, I mean, I'm going to say they need a restart, but they've been restarting for years now. So I think Kuzma, it's going to be a while, but I think Kuzma could go to the Warriors. Because they need help at the forward spot, and the big man spot. They're fine with Steph and Klay, I mean, obviously they run really well with them too. I mean, Klay is declining, but he's still a solid shooting guard. They need some big going on up in there. And I don't think Andrew Wiggins is not scoring well enough for the Warriors right now. I think Andrew Wiggins could possibly be in that trade with Kuzma. I think Kuzma would be big for the Warriors, I think. I like that move a lot. Yeah, Wiggins really just has not been able to live up to his previous hands in Golden State this year. What about you, Will? I can honestly see him going to the Lakers. I feel like I'm going to say, going back, the Lakers, they're not hard for Penny, they need a one-piece. I can see them change Jangelo for Kyle Kuzma or something like that, you know? But yeah, I feel like that makes the Lakers a one-piece, and I think they're good. Yeah, I think Kuzma, I don't know if he'd be open to going back to LA, I mean, I'm sure it's better than Washington. But yeah, I think he'd be, he's pretty much kind of plug-and-play wherever. For these teams that are, I think, a contender like the Lakers, I really like that fit with the Warriors. Just, I don't, and they have been receiving calls on Wiggins, I just don't know if they're necessarily actually going to pull a trigger there and do something. They're not, typically they're not a very active trading team, like they don't tend to make big trades like that. And so to see here, though, Kuzma would be perfect for them. You would take some of the scoring load off of Steph, you can run him at the three or the four, and then you keep, like it's not going to take minutes away from Kaminga, who's been really good for them this year. I would say they probably tried and keep Wiggins, maybe give up some draft capital, maybe like Moses Moody and like a pick would probably get it done. And then you would just, it extends your window for a little bit, just more well rounds out your team. Like I said, making somebody other than Steph Curry score the basketball is big, and he just can play kind of in any real role you need him to. So I think Kuzma, I'd like that fit, Kuzma, the Warriors a lot, especially, you know, taking advantage, how many more years is Steph going to be this good? Like he's still an all-NBA player, for sure, and still an all-star at everything. He's been phenomenal. He's really just been that team around him. So we'll see how that goes. That was actually my next question was going to be, should the Warriors buy in to help the HM Steph Curry? So I just kind of answered that there, but we'll swing it over to Will. What do you think? Honestly, the way that team's playing, I don't think so. As you can see, Andrew Iguodala, he's always getting in a fight with somebody, always doing something, he gets suspended. Then you look at Clay, he can't really shoot the ball anymore. And then you look at Seth, he's regressing, and then he can't carry a whole team on his back. He doesn't really have help. And on top of that, you have Kerr, who's been declining in recent years. So if on them, we just blow it up, trade everything away after the season. You're going to completely scrap away, this is their last chance? Have you seen them play yet, man? I feel it's so hard to get rid of, I mean I feel like Seth is going to retire a Warrior. Draymond, Clay, I don't know. I don't know if they're going to play another season here. Draymond doesn't even... You look like you're not retiring. I think if it comes to the point where they don't offer Draymond, that he just retires. Clay, for context, had his contracts off after this year, and they were trying to get him back in the offseason. Chose not to make a deal and just let the season play out. So far, very much against Clay's favor here, and I could see him leaving and just going somewhere else for one of those, you know, one year, then I'm going to retire. I could see that happening, but I really do think the Warriors should buy in, because what are the odds you're going to get a player as good as Steph Curry in the next, even like ten years? That's a generational... He literally changed how we play basketball. When you have a star like that, I feel like you can't necessarily take that for granted, which is... Imagine how badly the Wizards, or the Suns, before the Suns made all these trades, a team like just a not-so-great franchise like that would kill for a player just of that caliber and still be terrible. They would be okay with that because they're like, oh, we just have Steph Curry. No. If you're competing, you're champions, whatever, you have him. You have to build around him. These years... He's not getting younger. He's not going to get faster. His shooting might stay, but I think they need to buy in. This has been Sports Uncaged. We'll be back after the break. You're listening to WCC Radio, Coastal Carolina University's student-run radio station. This is Sports Uncaged. I am your host, Christian Mitchell, joined here by Braxton and Will. We are talking a little bit about the NBA trade deadline coming up before the break. Sticking with the NBA, this is a newly instated rule to fight load management, the Kawhi Leonards, the Joellen Bees of the basketball world here, that in order to make an all-star... Not an all-star team, an all-NBA team, or be qualified for any of the awards, like MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, you have to play at least 65 games out of the 82-game season. That doesn't sound like a crazy ask. However, we aren't even at the all-star break, and the MVP frontrunner, Joellen Bede, is already disqualified from the award due to his meniscus injury. That's just going to keep him out indefinitely, but it seemed like he wasn't going to hit that minimum anyway. We'll start with Will here. Do you like this newly implemented minimum? Yes, I do, but I think it can be lowered more because when you're moving, I think, basically more a quarter of the season, half the season, like, come on now, like, they said, like, yeah, but yeah, like, how are you going to miss, like, a quarter, a half the season, and then not be qualified for the season? Other players out here are playing really well, and not really missing half the season, even a quarter, and you're like, yeah, I do like it, but also, I think it can be all lowered. Yeah, I get what you're saying. I feel like that's probably, like, the common, like, argument against it when we got Braxton. Yeah, I think it should also be a little lower. Like, I completely understand the rule, 100%. It makes sense. I think a little bit lower, though. It is kind of weird how, like, all of these guys are getting injured, because it does seem like it's a lot of the star players get injured, like, with Embiid and stuff, but it is unfair to Embiid, a little bit. A little bit, because, like, the way he's playing, it's, like, when he does play, it's insane, and it's hard to take him out of that, because, and his stats, does he deserve to be an all-star? Absolutely, you know, and it's a tough, tough rule. It makes sense. I think it should be lowered, though. Yeah, that's kind of where I'm at here. Like, I feel that the 60, like, it sounds good to me in theory. It's like, okay, yeah, you should not be the season MVP if you didn't play three, or if you didn't play an entire, you know, 25% of the season. Like, I get that, you know, but let's be, like, I feel like the rule's kind of unnecessary. Like, let's be real, if, it doesn't matter how good Embiid was playing, he's missing this extended period of time. He's not winning the award anyway, you know? Like, that, they already kind of took it into account of, like, they take, like, last year and previous years, they would take into account of how many games that player played compared to another. Like, you know, but in that case, let's say, like, Embiid plays, like, 40 games, 50 games. 50 games of Joel Embiid is still more valuable to the Sixers than a certain amount, like, maybe 20 more games of a less-tier player, you know? Like, you know what I'm saying? So, I don't really, like, like I said, in theory to me, it sounds good, but I kind of, I think as we see it play out this year and more and more players start to miss, like, this mark, then I think we have more of a conversation and I don't really expect this rule to last. That's me personally. But switching things over, staying with the NBA, they also, everyone has been shooting the lights out. Speaking of Joel Embiid, he was averaging 36 a game before he got hurt, put up a 70 bomb. You had Luka put up 73, like, three days later. And you had Devin Booker put up 60-something on the same night. Even just yesterday, Biel put up, like, 45 against the Wizards. So, it's a lot of scoring, a lot of inflated scoring, as people are saying. So, we'll start with Braxton here. Do you think that the NBA has a scoring problem? I wouldn't call it a problem. I think a problem, as far as stretch, I think players are just getting better. Like, I genuinely just think that. Players are getting better. I mean, that's also the thing of, like, anything's a shooting foul nowadays. And they're getting a lot more opportunities at the free throw line, in which, you know, you're more likely going to make both shots every single time. It's, I think players are becoming better shooters. I think the perimeter is becoming more of a common occurrence than in the paint type of play. Because, I mean, back then, I mean, there was a lot of them paint. A lot of big ball down there. And I think perimeter shooting, it's becoming more of a thing. I mean, big guys can shoot now from the perimeter. So, it's, I think it's more just, you're getting better at shooting. It's almost, like, it's almost hard to play when you can't shoot now in the NBA. Like, you look at guys like Ben Simmons that killed, literally killed the Sixers because he couldn't shoot the ball. And even maybe with a Sar Thompson of the Pistons, like, it just hurts the spacing so much now. I think that's probably part of the reason. What we got, Will? All right, man. I honestly don't think we have a problem. Like, practice said, you look at the league, everybody can shoot. Base can shoot. Overall, the talent has got better, what's it called, in previous years and everything like that. Like, Booker, what's his name, B-70, what's it called, did a good, right, did a good 45 in everything. So, I do think the talent has better now. We don't have a problem with evolving and learning how to play better. Yeah, I mean, I fully agree with that. I said this before the, or while we were on break earlier, that play, like, some players even just 10, 12 years ago that were playing in the NBA, that were there pretty much for strictly defense and could not shoot or ball handle would not get run anymore. Like, straight, like, they would just not, it would be hard for them to make a team. Because it's gotten to the point where defense, like, when you're, like, you have to, all the teams that win the championships are good at defense or have good defensive players. Like, that's just how it is. But it gets to the point where how good of defense are you going to play on a guy like Embiid or Luka to whether, is it you playing defense or are they just missing the shot? Like, is Kevin Durant missing or are you making him miss? Like, that's kind of the question, you know. So, I think it's kind of gone hand in hand with, obviously, we talked about the refs earlier too, a lot of fouls, a lot of free throws. See guys, you know, make their living at that. James Harden was great at that when he was in his prime. Embiid's been great at that. Really, even Giannis is really good at drawing fouls. Just a lot of the star players are putting up these numbers, get to the line, and they're efficient. Like, Luka put up 70 on 30 shots. Like, that's insane, you know. But for the defensive side, it kind of also brings the question of do you think the defense is getting worse at all across the league? Like, I'll open up the floor here. Brad, do you think that the defense in the NBA has gotten worse or that's just an old head mentality? Well, I think refs are just like, you can't be on guys anymore. You slightly touch them, it's a foul. But also, again, like with the shooting thing, I mean, how much space does Luka need just to get the shot off and make it sliver? Yeah. I mean, the guys are just, they don't need you to be in their face to make the shots. I genuinely just think, I don't think defense is worse. So, I think the foul calling's worse. Yeah, I think it's ten times worse. I think the guys are just becoming better shooters and it's just, it's easier to score than ever just because you just got better at shooting. And the more, the spacing plays into that too. When you're accounting them, like the spacing of a good shooting team gives each player more one-on-one opportunities, which again, you know, Mike was getting these triple, double teams back in the 90s. Like, that's not, that's something that happens really only to bigs now. It's hard to trap a guard like that with two defenders. What do you think, Will? I'll go back to you, Bradford, like you said. Yeah, like I said, I wouldn't say defense got, has defense been worse, but I am, what I would say is, what's it called, the fouling has been getting worse over the years. Luka's record was calling shots out of nowhere and everything. I can't remember his name right now, but it's one ref. Scott Foster. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We all get on calls, like, we get on calls and everything, so yeah. Yeah, I think it's been kind of a mix of the fouls, the perimeter shooting, spacing, and just the way teams want to play now, because you have to score. I mean, you see teams put up 130 regularly, you know, something that wasn't exactly happening, again, even just 10 years ago. It's because, like a lot of the guys I was talking about, the defensive-minded players aren't playing as much. These guys are such a, like Andre Roberson of the Thunder, the good Thunder team with Russ and KD, could not do nothing but defend, could not shoot, couldn't even pretend to shoot. If he's standing at the three-point line, you let him stand there and hang out, like you're guarding Kevin Durant or Russ. And now teams just completely turn away from that. Even defensive-based guys, like Jaron Jackson, who won the D-Boy last year, put up like 18 a game. Like that's almost, 18 a game in the early 2000s is an automatic, not automatic, that's like a, oh yeah, this guy's probably an all-star, you know? Offensively speaking, and he's the D-Boy. It's really just offense versus offense nowadays, it's not really defense now. This has been Sports Uncaged, we'll be back after the break. You're listening to WCC Radio, Coastal Carolina University, student-run radio station. This is Sports Uncaged, I am your host, Christian Mitchell, joined here by Braxton and Will. We're talking about mostly the NBA, the trade deadline, all the drama that goes on around this time of year. I'm gonna switch things over because it is Super Bowl week, baby. We got one more game left, hoping nobody wins, but it's a good game, just so you know. Chiefs, 49ers, rematch of 2019, I believe? 2019, yeah. 2019, it was a great Super Bowl at the time, expecting both these teams to come out strong here. And before I get too deep into it, I'm gonna kick it over to Will. Who do you think is gonna win and why? Alright, well I got the Chiefs, you never bet against Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs. It doesn't matter what he threw in the regular season, he's gonna get a struggle before it. Once he gets in the playoffs, he's just gonna like, oh, he's gonna do exactly what he did with Travis Kelsey, and then you have the offensive line, and then you have that running back, it's like Isaiah Pacheco, who can give you the yards. And then you have your wide receiver who can also give you the play you need to do. Yeah, no, Pacheco, me and one of my roommates, we were watching the game last week, and it's just kind of like a long-running joke that we have that Isaiah Pacheco is going to do, if you know he's at least falling forward for four yards every single time he catches the ball. Or not catches the ball, every single time he touches the ball, he's just falling forward for at least four yards. I don't understand it, I love it, I don't get it, but it's fun to watch. And I was asking him to talk about this a little bit last week, but just, what do you got? It's a Super Bowl. Bang, bang, Niner gang, dude. No, like, again, what am I arguing with the Ravens? If the Ravens just ran the ball, they would have won that game. And so I think what the 49ers do, got to do is run the ball. Yeah, but my ball priority is the system quarterback, man, come on. Yeah, well, Christian McCaffrey's a running back, so I think they just got to run the ball, and I think they'll win it. For sure, I think I said this last week, the best way to beat Patrick Mahomes is to keep him on the sideline. If you're running the ball, you know, you give CMC seven carries, or seven in carries on like a seven minute long touchdown drive, that goes a long way. I know. Now they can score relatively at will, but they got shut out in the second half of this Ravens game, and if that 49ers defense is able to shut out, or is able to shut out the Chiefs in the second half of the Super Bowl, there would be no excuse for them to lose that game. I know this Chiefs defense is good. I'm not sure it's widely known that the Chiefs defense is good this year, especially like the performances they've been putting on to hold the Lamar to 10 points last week, and really they've just been great, like lights out. But outside of, you know, maybe four offensive players, the Chiefs are kind of just there. The defense is good at each level. I feel like they're pretty solid. You know, Nick Bolton's been great, sideline to sideline tackle machine. But Jerry Sneed's an all pro this year. Chris Jones, what more has to be said about Chris Jones? And he's just always, I feel the Chiefs defense, even when they haven't been as good as they are now, like in previous years, they always made that timely stop, or that timely play, or that timely turnover, just randomly. Solid last week with the LeJerry Sneed punch out on Zay Flowers. It's just these random small things that the Chiefs do well, and they end up winning these close football games over, and over, and over again. And that's why I'm expecting no differently here. Niners are going to go home, and they're going to cry that they lost two Super Bowls in four years, five years, whatever. And I'm not going to enjoy watching the Chiefs celebrate, at all, 100%. OK, we got Usher. Yeah, Usher at halftime. Yeah, I think, like Will was saying, you can't bet against Patrick Mahomes. We've seen this movie three times already. This is the third time he's playing a team in the Super Bowl that's better than his team, on paper, with more talent, and he's somehow going to get it done. I'm confident that the 49ers obviously aren't just going to go down without a fight, and they were winning. In the last Super Bowl, obviously two separate teams now, but they were running all over the Chiefs, and had a two-touchdown lead in the fourth quarter. You know, chances are they don't blow that again, but I can't see Kansas City not winning. The way their offensive line matches up with the 49ers' defensive line, that'll be that Buccaneers and Chiefs game. That's what it's about to be like, if the Niners' D-line, hopefully, should show up. Let's be honest, they should show up. So, sticking with that, do you think that Isaiah Pacheco and the Chiefs are going to have access to the run game against that tough 49ers front? I think they will, because, again, Pacheco's hot. The O-line in the pass game might not be good, but pretty solid in the run game. I mean, Pacheco's solid. And listen, I know 49ers' weakness is the secondary. By weakness, I put that in quotations. And let's be honest, those receivers on the Chiefs, other than Rasheed Rice and Travis Kelsey, you ain't got no one else. So, I think Pacheco's, the only way this offense is going to run is in, of course, Pacheco's. And Pacheco's will find a way, but I think Niners need to out-coach Andy Reid. And that's a tall task. What do you think? I think they will be able to do, but that offensive line is going to be able to create holes and do great blocking to give Isaiah Pacheco, a hot Isaiah Pacheco, giving them a run. And like you said, you're going to have to have Travis Kelsey being really, really good, but yeah. Yeah, I think Pacheco, I mean, shout out to Rutgers, Rutgers boy over there. Isaiah Pacheco, yeah, he's one of those running backs, he's just such a physical runner that he seemingly gets better as the game goes on. You just get, straight up, you just get tired of tackling him. You get tired of dealing with that contact over and over again. And that's like legitimately what happens, especially like in the playoffs of these NFL games. So, I feel like if they are able to get that run game going, then there is no way they lose this game. Like you said, the 49ers quote unquote weakness is their corners and their secondary, especially after Hufango went out. Shout out to him, you know, I'll cut him in his props. Um, but like, yeah, Pacheco, they get that run game going, they're not going to be soft passing the ball. And this is just to me, like I'm thinking a big Rasheed Rice game is about to happen. Uh, they're going to try, the Niners are going to try their best to take away Travis Kelsey. Try their best might still mean 80 yards in the touchdown, but they're like, you have to force somebody other than Kelsey and really Rice to beat you receiving. And that just has not been the case. Uh, I mean, MBS had that huge game clinching catch last week, but is he gonna make that catch again? You know, you already saw him drop a game. And I mean, Lenore and Ward, again, quotations, they're good. They're like, they're solid. Uh, if I mean, MBS is your two, but I don't think that that receiving core is just going to do it other than Kelsey. I don't even think Rice is going to have a big game. In my opinion, I won't think he's going to have big game, but my home is going to do is my home thing. So I don't know. You know, I don't know. Yeah, I, I know. I think Rice is going to show out. I think cause he kind of has to, and, uh, actually bringing up our various Ward, former chief, former Kansas city chief on the other side of the Superbowl here. I'm sure he's probably going through a lot of emotions right now, but yeah, I just, this, this screams typical cheese game for me and where they're, they're the underdog pretty much on every facet, except for a couple of positions, but they're the most important positions and they just get it done. Andy Reed has been such a great coach. Uh, he's won the Superbowl, I believe twice now, both times with my homes, but even before that has been to more Superbowls. He's got the experience, not that Kyle Shanahan doesn't, but Kyle Shanahan has been a great coach for years and still has not won a Superbowl. You know, like that's, um, he, he was part of that staff that blew that 28 to three lead, which was, I believe seven years ago or something like that to the day. Um, so to see, I'm sure this, the coaching battle is going to be absolutely insane here with all the pre-snap motion that Andy, not Andy Reed, that all the pre-snap motion that, um, Shanahan does matching up with Spagnoli is defense of the chiefs. That'll, that should be nice to watch. But like I said, it's just hard to, hard to go against Kansas city. Steve Wilks is going to have to show up to SDC. He, if he wants to go anywhere as head coach, cause I know he had his opportunity with the Panthers, but 10% nah, um, this, this is it because he's shown up SDC, but he's had his little games that, you know, like again, the lion shouldn't have scored that many times in the first half. I think, I think in order for the Niners to win, they got to come out hot first half, come out hot first half, and then just hold it. For sure. Yeah. I think they, if they get a 14 point lead again, they'll probably protect it this time around. It's been Sports Uncaged. We'll be back after this. You're listening to WCC radio, Coastal Carolina University student radio station. This is Sports Uncaged. I am your host, Christian Mitchell joined here by Braxton and Will. We've been, uh, we were talking about the Superbowl, really, you know, final NFL game of the year. Sad to see, uh, in the last segment, um, here in just a little quick outro, we got Jim Harbaugh. I wanted to talk about his signing with the Chargers. And, uh, you know, if he will actually be able to get over the hump and make the Chargers play meaningful football come this time next year, we'll see. So, um, we'll start with Will here. What did you think of the hire? Honestly, I thought, uh, we were talking to Offer. I think it was a great hire because Jim Harbaugh is an improvement coach. He's a coach in a college. He coached Michigan. He's an offensive-minded coach. Not only that, but I think that's one of the, uh, one of the reasons you needed Jim Harbaugh because like I said, he's all men are good. She can help out, uh, Austin Eckler, Jamal, Kenan Allen, and Justin Herb. And I think with us, I'm missing three. I think they can finally humble with it. They're, um, just like put it on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I got you. What do you think, Brad? I think it's a great hire. I think it's the best time. I thought it was the best hire of all of them. And, um, again, that offense, I think, I think this is where Herbert's going to hit a ceiling. You got, you got threats and shoot this draft. You might even get Brock Bowers. You know, that's, that's where, that's who they're looking at. I mean, don't even get me wrong. Ever. It's not even that bad of a tight end, but shoot Brock Bowers. You got Mike Williams, Kenan Allen, and Brock Bowers with Austin Eckler, who's also somewhat of a receiving back as well. Shoot. And then your first round highest receiver picked off the board last year. Right. Quinn and Johnson. Who could, he could, he could. If he had a better end of the year. Hey, bad coach. You know, that's what we could call it. I think it was the best high. I think it's going to be great because I mean, hardball with the Niners. I mean, honestly, Kaepernick reminds me a lot about Herbert, but Herbert better throwing and they have like a lot of threats on that Niners team. I think, I think it was a great hire. I really do. I agree with you. Both of you. Like you're talking about his experience. He's gotten it done at the NFL level, goes back to college, like seemingly for fun. Like he didn't have to do that. Obviously brings Michigan to their first national championship this year. And when's the last time Michigan has gotten over the hump like that? He seemed to build a really strong culture there. And that's exactly what you want in Los Angeles because they're in LA. They seemingly have no team culture. Their stadium's not even filled with their fans half the time, you know, like, and with Herbert, we're talking about this during the break, the defensive minded head coaches just don't tend to work out nearly as much anymore. So bringing in Brandon Staley to work with a young Herbert, you kind of, I don't, the best time to win a Super Bowl is when your quarterback is on his rookie deal. And they kind of wasted that with Brandon Staley. Whether like that, obviously that wasn't on purpose. And the GMs, you know, they brought in pretty much everyone they could, especially defensively to build a competent team just didn't happen for one reason or another and just weren't able to put things together. And I think Harbaugh is going to come in and be like a, you know, a no nonsense type of guy really helped. Like you said, this is probably Justin Herbert's ceiling that should be coming up here. But, and there's just too many weapons on that team for them not to be an elite offensive team. And, you know, Harbaugh is going to bring culture. Oh yeah. To that locker room, 100%. Yeah. And that's, like I said, something that LA is really desperately needed. And we'll see how he fares. This has been Sports Uncated. I want to thank y'all for listening in.
