Happy Tuesday y'all We're back with another episode This week we are talking about Random things that we're passionate about and my list is really all over the place I think we're in for a very fun conversation Conversation, I would say yeah Similar I don't really know if it's necessarily that these are like passion. No. Yeah, definitely a strong word Maybe some of them are but also some of mine are kind of just like things that I like really just like love Some of them know kind of you Yeah, kind of our passions because I'm so like I get so consumed by it and I love it so much I've got a few that I'm actually obsessed with and like I can't shut up about yeah And then I've got a few that are like things that I love. Yeah, exactly. Yeah good balance of both. Yeah Anyways, so this past weekend was Easter. I yeah, we both I Think had a lot of fun. I had a lot of fun. Yeah, I did too I'm worried about really we both I think No, I definitely ate a lot of food Oh same can be specifically but that's what Easter is about. Well, obviously it's about other things but like Guys, it's about embracing eating candy. I don't know what I mean Yeah, because I stuffed my face with like 12 Cadbury mini eggs before coming I didn't realize I forgot to press microphone on but I've been recording for the podcast. So it's fine. That's fine. Well, hey guys Hey But both of our families were in town so that was really fun Yeah, it was really fun. I went to go see the sunrise on Saturday It was so pretty good. My mom wanted to do it was so pretty And we were at the state park which cuz my grandparents have like a pass I wanted to check that out we should go because I can just use my grandparents extra pass and It's super nice like and there's no like high rises right by cuz you're literally in the middle of like the forest when you're driving in um No, it's so cool, but I look like a vibe when you were pulling in like yeah, yeah Yeah, the the drive-in is because I I drove past the entrance and I was yeah. Yeah, it's so cool Alright. Well since the mic was off today, we're talking about stuff. We're passionate about and we'll be back about that You Hey guys, we're back. Hey guys we back after that Kesha break because we are in our Kesha Phase of life right now to say the least. I love her Um, but if you guys just joined today, we're talking about random things that we're passionate about and Kind of like loose loose on the word passion because we're talking about really random stuff But yeah, let's get into it. You can go first. Okay? my first one and I texted Kate about this earlier, but it's old movies or movies in general because I I'm like the biggest movie person and that's one thing that like my roommates always say to me because I get them hip to the old movies mostly like a lot of them are like I Really love John Hughes films or like old like 80s movies But yeah, I Probably have rewatched Those kinds of movies like 30 times and my favorite movie for y'all that don't know which I've definitely said on here before is Forrest Gump. Yeah Y'all Which is kind of basic, but no, I feel like it's not Don't say that people obviously everybody knows the movie but nobody's ever like that's my favorite movie, you know what I mean? Yeah, like you're always gonna be like that's my favorite movie of all time Mentions that like I will go ballistic like that is actually my favorite movie. I don't know what it is I just could watch it over and over and over again. Yeah, and no, I agree. It's such a good movie I think I just love that. It has like all the feelings like sadness. Yeah It is everything perfectly encapsules the feeling of life yeah, for real and I love Savannah and yeah, like he's sitting on the bench and I don't know. I just love that movie and I love all for I love all genres. I love every single movie. So Yeah, if y'all have any movie record recommendations or anything DM them to us Yeah, what's your favorite John Hughes movie I need to rewatch 16 candles, so I just rewatch 16 kills the other day That's obviously like a top contender for me. I love pretty in pink. Yeah It's really hard to pick because I love all of them. Okay, y'all are gonna hate me though I don't really like like The Breakfast Club that much it's good, but it's not the best John Hughes film It's you know, yeah comparing it to the rest like no Like it's just it can get boring because they're literally in the school the whole yeah movie and also It's just like not really that funny to me. Like the other one. Yeah laughs like 16 candles is funny I know 16 hills. Oh pretty and pink isn't really like that's funny. But like the vibes are really good. No, it's and Also John Hughes did all like probably the best Christmas movies ever like Christmas vacation Home alone, he did plane trains and automobiles, which is yeah, that's such a good movie. Um, any Steve Martin movie? Yeah, literally literally We watched father of the bride instantly. That is such a good movie. But um, yeah, I Love movies and my roommates see each other. I like can't see you. I know It's like we're on the phone But my roommates always say that I like show them a lot of movies or I'm very hip to the movies So yeah, I think that I'm definitely oh and when Harry met Sally is probably my favorite. Yes. Yes. Oh, yeah Yeah, Forrest Gump is a solid like just movie but rom-com I can't pick I'm too indecisive. No, yeah their category me too. Um, okay kind of going along with the theme of movies something I'm very passionate about is Mamma Mia and Okay, specifically ABBA because yes Just like like it's just everything all together How could you not like it's literally it takes place in Greece plus ABBA's music like chef I like it does not get any more perfect. I personally just love musicals Like I'm just like that and I grew up on Mamma Mia So I'm always gonna that's always gonna be a go-to movie Oh hundred percent and I know that I overuse the word by but like the vibes of that movie. Yes Absolutely, it's just like a beautiful like beautifully filmed like Cinematography amazing like I'd love that and I love how it's like all the girl like all the girls like the girls don't girly Yes, and then very fun. Yeah, I love that movie. I don't know how you couldn't it's I just could go on and the style And I just everything I am I'm talking about the first one not the second. Oh, I don't like the second one Y'all are gonna come for me though. Yeah, I don't like it I mean, it's good, but they didn't have you can't do the doer like like the music in that one I like cuz I love knowing me knowing you Fernando is such a good song. Yeah, but There was kind of no need to make that in mind It's kind of just better to like not know about the back. Yeah, dad Yeah, just like have Donna's past in your head and have it be what it what it is You're supposed to fill in the blank like you never yeah, actually find out who the dad is Right, or does the second movie tell you the second movie tells you cuz it's Sam is well, I mean if you haven't seen it's not a spoiler this came out like ten years ago guys She I'm I mean they actually I really need to do I really even need to know who it is Like it's better left on set. Yeah, exactly But I don't even know if they simply say it Sam's just in it cuz like they get married Yeah, and then I guess Sophie just like it's like Takes him as a father figure These guys does it I actually just love I Can't go but not the second one like I the second one's okay But like I've only seen it once and I kind of am okay with keeping it that way. Yeah. Yeah, sorry. No, sorry um Kind of also going along with movies. I also have La La Land and Little Women went written that wouldn't written down Land is like I know it's so sad, but like no so obsessive it I'm gonna rewatch it It's all I just can't and like there's it's just like I can't even get words out cuz it's so perfect It's this I kind of just have a musical gal like I never did theater. But like I just love musicals I also love Greece. I didn't write. I love Greece Greece is like one of my faves I also love The Greatest Showman. So yeah, that movie's fire. I'm sorry that that movie is like also beautifully filled Yeah, like it's fire. But I'm gonna watch Little Women because Little Women just like I Don't know. I I just I know I need to go on that train y'all. I can't believe I haven't seen it Joe I just like I can't believe I haven't seen it because I feel like it's like a me movie But I haven't seen it maybe I like literally just watch it I feel like people think it's like a fall movie No, it's it's for me. I feel like it's spring I it's it's every single season I can watch it in the dead middle of summer and I would be like, yeah, this is summer Okay, I need to watch it. It's like I'm really about that tonight because I want to watch it. Okay, okay, but I'm real Well, yeah, I'm not gonna watch it tonight, but I'm really about that like historical vibe. So yeah In there in New England, I almost wrote down that I'm passionate about like American history Okay Thank you, dude. Like we've had this conversation You you guys should have seen me and Kate in Boston. We were like eating up the like Historical landmark hugs were from Annapolis. Okay, this kind of goes into it. I literally wrote down the Annapolis lore Yeah, yeah like you see people walking around in their colonial clothing giving tours and like that's just a normal day like they walk through My neighborhood every day and I'm like, okay. It's the Oracle buildings like the Architecture something. I almost wrote that down architecture and I yeah like Specific architecture like like that. Yeah colonial colonial architecture colonial homes The ones you'll see in New England, you'll see them in Annapolis too, but you know Okay, my next one that I wrote down is classic rock because I just so I feel like a lot of people grew up like Some of my friends from home like they grew up with her dad would like only listen to country My dad was and then there's obviously like people who listen to all that kind of stuff But my dad was like only rock Kind of and I just always grew up with the kind of dad that like a lot of people had where he would like cover the radio and be like who thinks this and I I Yeah, he still does that like to this day the song comes on like at a restaurant He's like who is this and what's the name and I'm like, well, yeah song quiz right now but I have because of that grown such a love of like old rock like I love like honestly any Old rocks not like me and Kate in the car like guys. Yeah. No, but like the range is so hilarious No, we're gonna be players. I'm the time. I'm like passionate about all music. I am I have no With music. I can't do anything anything without I can't imagine living without music. That would be like So I don't even what would you do with yourself? Like I would literally be so sad, but we wouldn't know I know someone ever just someone eventually would like like honestly I want to know like how they discovered music because like I probably learned that in music class last year and like completely forgot Yeah, but literally it's just something every it's a necessity for every day. Yeah anything kind of like specifically with that I was gonna write down making playlists. Yeah, cuz that's just I mean, that's more like that's like my favorite pastime Yeah, no down to like the photo I put yeah literally and like the name of the playlist Okay, we're about to go to commercial Hey guys, hey If you just joined us, we're talking about kind of random stuff that we're passionate about quote-unquote But we left off. Yeah, specifically Tegan was talking about rock music cuz we both love that classic rock Okay, I'm gonna go a totally different direction and something I wrote This is for my Marylanders cream of crab soup. Oh It's just like always gonna know and I am NOT a Maryland crab girl If y'all don't know so cream of crab soup is like a chowder kind of like Maryland crab soup is more like a tomato I'm not for the Maryland crab. I've never tried half-and-half. No, that rubs me the wrong way. Yeah Crab or nothing. I'm all in for the cream of crab like with those oyster of crackers. Oh Guys we actually got crab soup from our dining hall a couple weeks ago And it was actually really it wasn't bad just the texture of the crab was kind of making me uncomfortably like imitation crab Yeah, it wasn't like actual like authentic cream of crab soup now. I mean, I know God Bridges cream of crab one time. Oh my god. Don't play bridges. This is the best. I know um The things I would do one time. I was at buddy's and It was after a silly fun time and I was really craving cream of crab soup like really strongly When was this over the summer st. Patrick's Day? Oh gosh Freshman year Cuz they do like the whole I was context. Yeah, they do like bodies, but I was with you that day Yeah context Annapolis has like a big st. Patty's Day parade like the weekend before Um, same actually I have same patch today like is on a weekday but anyways, so my friend and I after the parade was over we went to buddy's and I Ordered I accidentally said Maryland crab soup And I got Maryland crab soup and like I still ate it cuz I still like it but like I was ready to Dare, oh, that's cream of crab down. That's the biggest. Yeah down. Yeah, like God some cream of crab. Oh my god. That's such a good one I know it's it just came to me. Like I was just writing stuff down. It's like cream going along with that I put down seafood. Mm-hmm. Oh My god, give me a fat piece of salmon. I will tear it up like no Like eat this seafood boil or you're literally like gonna die like I would okay go Adelaide You don't even have to like I tell them I'll be home in 10 minutes. Yeah Really? I'm gonna bust down on that seafood boil. Yeah, I love seafood Any time I every time I go to the point, which oh my god, only all that was natives. No, what? Um, I want a good crab cake. Yeah for real with some mustard. Oh That sounds disgusting guys, but I swear it's good. Um, the mustard is like a must-have Yeah, but I always get a pound of mussels and I literally finish them in like two seconds and they come with like garlic Bread that you dip in the juice. I Want seafood so bad, I love shrimp shrimp is ever I had shrimp over the weekend But like you need to know that there was no old bag. It's not the same down here Yeah, you're gonna hate us because I know like South Carolina is known for their seafood, I think but no It's not no Maryland when I say seafood, I don't mean South South Carolina seafood revenue the wrong way. No. Yeah Like different. Yeah, it's not the same vibe. Like I need like a crab feast Well, I like the crabs in a lot of the crabs in Maryland are like imported from like, South Carolina and Florida No, but it's the vibes. It's everything like it's like you're on a screened-in porch. The Orioles are on my day someone's drinking like I Don't even know my daddy bow. Yeah. Yes. Not at all. Like yeah, it's that Maryland the fat pretzels Yes, yeah Favorite thing like actually ever is scallops though. Oh, I have an addiction Just scallops God and scallops are so it makes me so mad I feel like because every time I order scallops and this is probably like the normal serving but they only give you like five or Six. Yeah, I want like 20. They're so expensive. I know I know But they're worth like they're like the size of like a silver dollar. I know like give me more of them scallops Oh my god, they're so good We're just both very passionate about seafood and that's today's episode Yeah, literally that's today's episodes about seafood because actually the problem is I could take a whole entire episode to talk about it Yeah Yeah, but okay. All right. Yeah, take it away Let me see. Which one do I want to go on next? Honestly, okay This one's like another big one for me just coffee In general like I wrote down like any form of it like cafes Trying different cafes. It's like that's one that I wrote down. Yeah, I just love like I love that But even different so coffee though, like really? Yeah, you just like give coffee like you're really coffee Yeah, because I like need it. Um, no, but like any type of coffee, too I love trying different kinds like my normal go-to order is either a hot coffee with cream or Honestly, sometimes a hot latte That's like if I'm feeling frisky, but or just like an iced coffee with cream nothing else in it But I love like just going and being like, let me switch it up and try this today Like a nitro cold brew. What's that? I love trying different people's order. Yes, too. Yes I I'm also passionate about that. Like what's your coffee order? What's your go-to order like and I love that you can tell a lot about a person but based on their coffee order yeah, no, but what I was gonna say about cafes like when we were in Boston like I Love a yes taught a but also like Just every every day you're on vacation finding a new cafe, that's right. Yeah, that's what I remember I'm trying different coffee. Yeah. Yes, I love doing that and down the same like Down the same kind of route. I'm very passionate about and I didn't write this one down, but I just remembered it coffee ice cream. Oh I I Got the best coffee ice cream over the weekend, but it was like I went to one of those places That's like the marble slab. Oh, are they like me like a cold stone, but it wasn't cold stone But it was like the same exact thing and I put Oreo in it and ice cream now Oh my gosh, like some core bros The core bros creams go. Oh my god. I bet Stella's has a coffee. Oh, we're going to Stella's. Yeah So I'll Everyone pop out for Stella's 85 percentage night. I think it's next Thursday. Yes next Thursday April 11th, I believe Everybody pop out get that ice cream and support our MHC. Yes. Whoo-hoo Yeah, that was a little promo Plug. Yeah, shameless plug. Okay Um This is going down a totally different Tangent, but this is this is gonna sound really kind of stupid but mine is the sunlight Hours, you know what I mean? Like there's so many things about something you like being in it or okay like that That both like I just love sunlight like I love soaking in the Sun, but also I love sunlight coming into my room I love opening my window I love I like going across the bridge and you see it peeking through clouds like it's like a ray of Sun I love like a ray of snow and like sunrises sunsets and I love when like it's a super-duper sunny day Like kind of in the middle of the summer at like 5 p.m And you're walking by trees and the way it like hits the trees and like just a reflection of it Yeah, you know what? I'm talking about and like Even like the reflection of it on the water like oh my gosh, that gives me life No, like it does give me life. Truly. I completely agree. I love that. Yeah This kind of goes. Well, actually not really like at all, but I was gonna say candles I wrote down candles to really right above sunlight. I have candles. Yeah, I wrote candles. I Freaking love candles if I enter a store and there's can't like a wall. Yes. I'm smelling every single one No, you know from like just observing I Whenever I am in someone's house, I'm picking up a candle. I don't care if we have just met I'm picking up a candle and I'm smelling it, you know 100% like and like if we're just sitting in a setting and there's a candle and it's not lit like I'm I'm grabbing it Oh, yeah, I'm lighting that. Oh like just Before bed like just lighting every night. No, I do that every night even when I shower I like putting on or lighting a candle and it just feels so Luxurious I know a good one. Oh my god, Gorgonzola Even blue cheese can there's this one that I really love from Trader Joe's Trader Joe's has the best cheese selection Yeah, I'm one like wine cheese. It's so good. It's my purple Like the wax is purple and it's really gosh brie cheese. Oh my god. Oh, I handed over I always get brie when I know you're coming over because I know you love brie so much Cuz you know, I'll like eat the whole thing in one sitting. Yeah one that I I wrote down charcuterie No, and just like cheese like if something doesn't feel finished dabble some cheese on it You know what? I mean? Like it's always such a good time ish literally It's like you can never go wrong with a little bit of like cracker or bread and cheese This might be gross but like when I was a kid, I would sit and just eat shredded cheese. I Eat Parmesan like from the thing. Oh my gosh. Parmesan is so I also really love apples and cheese. Don't know Okay, it's really good. Like apples get some slice of apple Like if you're gonna put like like it's like the vibe that kind of like if you're gonna put peanut butter Yeah, I said put like a slice of cheese. See I love apples and peanut butter. I love apples and peanut That's like one of my favorite go-to snacks if I'm like really hungry cuz like if I'm hungry and I want a snack I'll just eat an apple but like when I'm really hungry and also I want something like a little sweet I'll have peanut butter peanut butter is honestly another passion of mine. I Freaking love peanut butter It's everything to me. I She's like kind of going just like any food where cheese is like a large Part of it. I gotta have it Pizza Pizza is fire like any form of Alfredo. Yeah, I really love like pasta and cheese. Yeah So good. Oh my god, that was so good I did though I did yeah, so hungry Sophie Sophie's my roommate guys. Y'all already know that but she's cooking fettuccine tomorrow I think whoo So freaky yummy fettuccine Alfredo, and I'm so excited She makes the best chicken Alfredo, yeah, she does so that's what she's chef and I think but that's one that I wrote down with Charcuterie. Yeah, I love to make charcuterie. Your charcuterie was so cute at Christmas. Oh, thanks. That was so Yeah, I am I'm a big charcuterie gal. Yeah, every time my family has like a get-together My mom makes me make the charcuterie cuz I'm like a perfectionist and I make it look so like aesthetic and cute I love that and you can't go wrong with some charcuterie. Mm-hmm. It's no matter what group you with what people you're with Everybody will eat it up. I feel like we do a lot is charcuterie when we have like get-togethers at home Yeah, no, yeah, cuz friends always do charcuterie. Yeah, I Just because how could you go wrong? Like I love everything that's on it. You know, everyone's gonna pick out it like, yeah Yeah, you have so many options. How could you not? Yeah, literally The combinations are endless Something else I wrote is sunglasses. I don't know why but that's just I love sunglasses You are like a sunglass girl I can't leave the house without them like you have so many different ones every time I go to your house I rummage through your sunglasses because I just love to look I got a new pair at free people like two weekends ago We were in Savannah. They're so good. They're so good and then I I Ordered a new pair off Amazon over spring break because I lost a pair of mine that I had had for like two years so ripped to them but The ones I ordered an Amazon are a little too square for my liking but like I'll still wear them like they can still we can We can work with them. Um, I love like a 70s vibe sunglasses like big square I just love them. Like they finish and elevate it out. They literally don't make an outfit They do like especially if they're unique by So good. I love sunglasses. Maybe one day. I'll start my own sunglass line You should actually do that. Maybe that's my job. I like a nap town native sunglasses. Yeah Come on We know you want it, you know you want it, um, that's one that I did like yours I said shoes Yes, you have a lot of good shoes. I love shoes. I love them. I hope I carry Bradshaw I think they're I wish they're like my sunglass equivalent because although I do stick to like the same like three or four pairs I Feel like I well, I just like love to grow my collection Yeah, that's always like my main like for Christmas Like the only thing I asked for is like a pair of shoes because that elevates an outfit so much Yeah, they're like just like the sun completely changes the vibe. Yeah, a hundred percent. I need to like actually I don't know. It's hard in college because like there are shoes that I want but Realistically, I'm not gonna wear it. No. Yeah, I really want a pair of boots. But like we're not exactly not like cowboy boots I have those but like I want like some other cute like brown boot if I stumble across a good pair of boots so I will purchase it because like You can keep those for the rest of your life. There's our feet are done growing. Yeah, exactly So they're timeless. Mm-hmm. Yeah Let's see Another thing I wrote it's kind of like just General but I wrote yoga cuz like I love yoga. I knew you would put that. Um, it's about just I don't know I've Had like periods where I do it consistently and then I stop but like I've been doing it consistently for the past like Almost year now and like I think I'm like gonna actually stick with it this time and not like have it just be a phase Because like throughout high school like I would There was a period during like freshman year when I was playing lacrosse and like I would wake up. I like five Before school and do yoga because like my I needed to stretch like and I had no other time to stretch during the day so, um, I was really into it then and then I kind of just stopped like once the season ended, but Yeah, I'm like back into it now and I'm more so into like the breathing techniques part of it Like really trying to like so good and that elevates it so much It's like so good Especially like on those days where you don't feel like like doing much but you still want to like get your blood pumping Yeah, that's like the best. I always do yoga with Adrian on it makes you stronger like I've noticed differences, especially if you do more so Shameless, well, I'm not even plugging them because not like they sponsor. Um, but I do pelotons on their app Okay. Yeah, my mom told me to like get the pilot love them They have like so they have beginner Intermediate and then like advanced and like I'll do beginner and intermediate because like sometimes I just like want to stretch I don't necessarily like because I'll do it before I go to the gym. Yeah, and um, I just want to like stretch I don't need like a core workout. Yeah, so I'll do beginner But the intermediate like when I've just like noticed like different like I'm toned in different places now after I'm doing it No, it actually is a workout, which I think is something that people don't like acknowledge Yeah, but people who do work out or do yoga like consistently like people who are like yoga instructors or yeah It's their job. They're like Jack. No. Yes, they really are And like they just seem really stable yoga is amazing if you Cuz like I understand how it can be kind of like because I used to get like Annoyed with like all the stuff like be mine mindful and earn Mindless, I don't know mindful like not a single thought. Yeah, like that can be frustrating But you just have to keep it consistent. And once you like get over that it's amazing I did like 30 days of yoga during the month of January with my mom and It was flow which is like actually really hard in the beginning flow is hard I was like, I'm I can't keep up but the more I did it I felt like it got like ways here and I was like, oh, okay. Yeah, I love yoga. Yeah The next one that I did was exploring new towns Yes, I am good really love look like exploring new places like We've really been doing that this semester. No, we really have we've gone like we've been like on the go, especially March Yeah, Austin this month. We went to Savannah this month even just like last weekend just like being like over Easter Yeah being off campus and like I know you were in Surfside So like even exploring even though we live right there just like staying and like actually going to like morals and yeah No, a hundred percent. It was really fun. Yeah. Yeah, I'd love to do that. I'd love to see what's up in the new places I love that. I'll say one more right before we go. Oh, this is so random, but Avocados Yeah, I love avocados. That's here ish. Yeah, I can sit and eat them by themselves.
