Seasons (Wind Quartet)

Seasons is a wind quartet meant to evoke the seasons. The piece opens with the calm summer. It then transitions into a waltzlike section meant to evoke the coming of spring. In the third section the instruments play fleeting staccato passages, as the leaves fall off the trees in fall. Then as winter comes long sustained passages evoke the silence and snow, ending the cycle. Audio is from Musescore MuseSounds
