Mr. Utterson had proof that Hyde was an evil man who kills without remorse and yet he was Jekyll's soul heir. This made no sense as Jekyll was the nicest and most respected man in England, so what power does Hyde have over him. As Utterson tries to solve the mystery he discovers a secret that could make people mad.
