Joao Berrion did well in the seeding bracket, beating Vaughn Gittin Jr. However, he didn't show up for the Top 32, giving Frederick Osbo a free win. Joao later explained that his car had suspension issues and became impossible to control. Despite his mechanical troubles, Joao is a talented driver who deserves more recognition. It's uncertain if he would have beaten Osbo. What are your thoughts on Joao Berrion? What happened to Joao Berrion in FD Atlanta? So one thing I find weird about FD and Joao Berrion is they don't really give him a lot of screen time. They don't interview him a lot. I don't know if his English isn't the best but FD really doesn't show him a lot of love. So that's what I'm going to do today in the upload is talk about what happened to Joao Berrion. So in the seeding bracket he was up against Vaughn Gittin Jr. And I must say I was the first one to tell you that Vaughn Gittin Jr. was going to crush. However, Joao actually impressed and he beat Vaughn Gittin Jr. in round 1 of the seeding bracket. So Joao made the show. But when it was time for Top 32 on Saturday he was scheduled to go up against Frederick Osboe in Top 32. However, he was nowhere to be found giving Osboe a bye run in the win. So what happened to Berrion? Well, I don't think that FD figured out what happened. But I'll cite my sources over on Instagram. Joao actually uploaded his reasoning on why he left. I will quote what he said here. In the last battle we ended up abandoning due to a part of the suspension that was damaged in my first battle and it got worse until it made the car impossible to control. Although it was a good result I wasn't happy with my driving and the car setup. Our focus was on making sure the new supercharger system was reliable and we didn't even look at the car setup. I'll leave that to Orlando in the next round. So, sounds like more issues with the car. This guy cannot get away from mechanical issues. It is unreal. However, I will admit I was very very excited to see how far he could go into the bracket. We don't see Joao Berrion win a lot. We don't see him get into the bracket a lot. So when he does, I think something is going good with his car that we should all pay attention. However, it was actually the opposite. He was doing so good that he broke. I guess the question is, would he have beat Frederick Osbo? Now that one might be a little up in the air. Let me know what you guys think about that. Let me know how you guys feel about Joao Berrion.
