O Hospital Universitário da UFMS realizou um procedimento inédito e menos invasivo para prevenir o AVC isquêmico: a angioplastia de carótidas. A técnica usa um cateter super fino que entra pela virilha e vai até o pescoço, abrindo a artéria carótida com um stent — tudo isso sem precisar de corte no pescoço!
