In this information, the speaker talks about a chart that they use for vocabulary lessons. The chart is printed out and each student glues it into their reading notebook. The class fills out the chart together, and students can choose to work alone or in groups. They read a story and try to understand the meaning of the word 'tradition' using context clues. After a vocabulary activity, they write down the definition and can also provide a synonym for 'tradition'. Sometimes, the speaker makes them find an antonym instead. This chart is used every week. This is a chart that I make for each vocabulary lesson that I go over. I print it out, and then each student glues it into their reading notebook, and then we fill it out as a class. If they so choose, they can do it with a partner or a group work. But what they do is, is we will read a story. They will give some context clues to maybe what tradition means. Then we'll write down the definition of the class after we do our hold up, wait a minute, vocabulary activity. And then they can give a synonym, what is the same meaning for tradition. Sometimes I'll switch it up on them and I'll make them do antonym, but it's basically the same chart that they're filling out each week.
