Nothing to say, yet
In this film, Alan has perfected his own craft and personal style. The story follows a young couple, Gatsby and Ashley, who plan to visit New York but things change when Ashley gets an opportunity to interview a famous filmmaker. Gatsby wanders around New York and encounters people from his past. Throughout the movie, Gatsby and Ashley navigate misunderstandings and romantic entanglements, making them question their own aspirations in their relationship. The film showcases Woody Allen's typical vintage and classical style, with well-written characters and beautiful cinematography. At this point of Alan's filmography, he has perfected his own craft and personal style. Timothy Chalamet, Selena Gomez, Jude Law, and Ellie Fanning star in a story that follows a young couple who go to the same liberal arts school, Yardley. They plan to visit New York during the weekend, so Gatsby can show Ashley where he grew up. Things change when Ashley gets the opportunity of a lifetime to interview a famous filmmaker's next film, played by Liev Schreiber. That leaves Gatsby wandering around New York, encountering people from his past, for example Selena Gomez's character, named Chan. Chan is the younger sister of Gatsby's past ex-girlfriends. Throughout the movie, Gatsby and Ashley navigate through misunderstandings, personal revelations, and romantic entanglements. This date made both people in this relationship question their own aspirations in their relationship. Like I said previously, Alan has perfected his own style. The movie rolls out the same as any other Woody Allen movie. The characters are introduced and turn out to be complex and well-written. And because he knows New York City so well, he's able to showcase his cinematography skills. The characters are dressed to reflect their personalities and social status. This adds to the overall vibe of the film, which is usually vintage and classical, typical of Woody Allen's style.
