Symphony MVT 2 FANTASIA - John Mario Di Costanzo

An expression of many of the fateful and anxiety-ridden things that were part of daily life during the summer of 2024. The main nervous Adagio feigns toward a normal sonata form but is interrupted by fateful and menacing brass chords and a soul-crushing contrapuntal second subject. Two concurrent yet disparate movements are given in a non-linear way. Agony, dread, suppliant prayer, mercy, forgiveness unite the two themes in the final coda until we are lead to the final apocalyptic judgement.
