The speaker is nervous and recording their first interview for a project they have been working on for ten weeks. They want to hear their friend's perspective on existence and life. They discuss the idea of helping others and the sacrifices involved. They also mention a book about colonization and a repeating symbol in the story. The recording concludes, and the speaker is grateful for the information gathered. We're going to start this out and see how it goes. So this is my first one that I'm recording. I'm very nervous, just for a little background. I've been working on this project for the last ten weeks and I've, like, gathered a ton of different theories and such on, you know, the different philosophies, whatever. And what I'm looking for from these interviews, specifically, I just want to hear, like, what you think of, you know, in your everyday life when it comes to existence. So it's like, I know, like, we've known each other for a while and so we've had a lot of conversations about this, and I think your perspective on it is really interesting just because of the background that you have. So from your, like, in your opinion, what would you say your relationship is, as far as understanding, you know, life, existence? We're going to start broad and get narrower. I have no idea what this existence means at all. I don't think anybody has the slightest clue. That is true. That is true. I'm going to try and keep this as clean as possible. I have a very filthy mouth. I apologize. I swear every five seconds. So do I. No, I know. My, yeah. So in that way, it's kind of more like a ladder, getting up from where you were and climbing to bigger heights to try and help more people around you. Yeah, certainly. That's a good way to put it. See, I've always just tried to help people. That's all I want to do. That's all I've ever wanted to do, was just help. Yeah. But I need to get to a point where I can help to actually help. And I've put myself on the back burner for too long to try and help everybody else. Because that's, yeah, I mean, that's what it is. It's sacrifice. I know. Is there any connection to be made between that? It's a super cool book. I read it in high school. But it's about this European or American colonizer who is in the Congo. It's basically like a story about colonization. There's a lot more to it. It's a fantastic book. But there's a repeating symbol in the book of It's a painting of a woman with a blindfold on who has a candle in front of her. Is it still recording? It is still recording. We don't have to do it all over again. Thank God. Thank God. No, I was just worried because I've never used this before. So apparently this looks good. But that's all the questions that I have. This is really good information. Because now I'm going to split it. Nice. Edit it and shit. It'll be great. So thank you very much. This is going to conclude the recording for now.
