The Music Store: Rock City on Woodward Ave. Royal Oak, MI - 1982 The irony of this guitar lesson is that even although my guitar instructor Joey "speed" Mazzola (lead guitar in Detroit's breakout band "Sponge") was amazingly fast and accurate; in this lesson he had to impress on me to "slow down" and stop playing too many notes...great lesson. Using a slower blues progression, he forced me to address my (obnoxious) phrasing and slow the hell down! Key lesson in my development. \m/
