Nothing to say, yet
This is a transcription of a song called "Bougie Natives" by Snoddy Nose Rez Kids, followed by an answer to a question about how a course on Indigenous perspectives has impacted the person's understanding. The course has deepened their understanding of Indigenous perspectives, emphasizing the importance of community, connection, and land. They now value interdependence over individualism and recognize the significance of historical and ongoing colonial impacts. They have gained knowledge on Indigenous government, laws, and self-determination. This course has shifted their perspective and will influence how they engage with the world personally and professionally. We the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, we the Bougie Natives, That was Bougie Natives by Snoddy Nose Rez Kids. Back to question number four. How has the course developed your understanding of Indigenous perspectives in ways that will be helpful to you in your life and chosen profession? This course has deepened my understanding of Indigenous perspectives, which I know will be valuable both in my personal life and future career. One of the most important lessons I have taken away is the importance of community, connection, and land in Indigenous ways of knowing, understanding the holistic worldview of many Indigenous cultures, where land, family, and spirituality are interconnected, has helped me see the world through a lens that values interdependence rather than individualism, the perspective is something I carry with me, can carry with me in every aspect of my life, whether it's in building a stronger, more empathetic relationship or in approaching problems from a place of balance and respect. Professionally, as I move forward in my career, especially in fields that deal with community development, this course has provided me with the knowledge to engage with Indigenous issues in a more informed and respectful way. It's helped me recognize the significance of understanding historical and ongoing colonial impacts, such as the intergenerational trauma caused by the residential schools, the 60s groups, and other colonial policies. This awareness will guide me in making decisions that are more culturally sensitive and not prioritize the needs and voices of Indigenous communities. Additionally, learning about the Indigenous government's laws and self-determination has given me insight into how Indigenous peoples are leading their own healing, reclaiming their rights, and revitalizing cultural practices. Ultimately, this course has shifted my perspective from seeing Indigenous issues through a narrow academic lens to recognizing them as an ongoing and essential part of our shared future. This shift will influence how I engage with the world and shape my approach to both my personal relationships and my professional endeavors.
