I composed a percussion quintet last spring for my professor and friends. I made it in regards to him leaving and moving on from our university and I wanted to compose a piece to commemorate him and celebrate his time here and perform with my friends and the other seniors for the last time. I wanted to split the melody between parts so no one person has the melody requiring all performers to work together and communicate to form the melody.
