The host of the Nanny Jewel podcast emphasizes that while she offers advice based on her experience, it is important for parents to trust their own judgment. She encourages parents to create their own list of priorities and to give themselves grace. The host believes in nurturing children to become confident and capable individuals, and emphasizes the importance of emotional safety and freedom for children to express themselves. She also discusses the need for parents to grow and learn in order to create a better world for future generations. The host encourages parents to embrace challenges and adversity as opportunities for growth, rather than trying to shield their children from them. She invites listeners to join her on a journey of reflection and new ideas to provide children with the childhood they deserve. Hello, welcome, welcome to the Nanny Jewel podcast. I'm your host, Nanny Jewel. Before we embark on this beautiful escapade together, I wanna get personal with you. I just wanna take a moment to say, everything I shared here comes from my heart, my 10 years of experience, and my best advice. But at the end of the day, you know your family, your children, and your unique situations better than anyone. Take everything with a grain of salt. No challenges are the same, and choose your battles. I once heard a phrase from a pastor asking, is this my list? Did the Lord give me or you this list today? Whose list is it? Because it is so easy to compare our to-dos, parenting styles, or our expectations to someone else's. But the truth is, your list, what matters most to you and your family, is yours to create, no one else's. So give yourself grace. Trust that you're doing what's best for your little ones. My purpose, my passion, and my deepest hope is to make a difference in the lives of children, our future. The little ones we nurture today will grow into the leaders, dreamers, and change-makers of tomorrow. That's why it is so important to protect, guide, and empower them in every way we can. Many of us were raised by parents who did their best, but often in survival mode. We heard phrases like, I turned out just fine, or you'll understand when you're older. And while we may have grown up resilient, the truth is, we deserved better. We deserved more patience, more understanding, and more emotional safety, and so do the children of today. We don't just want them to turn out fine, we want them to thrive, to grow up feeling safe, valued, and emotionally intelligent, to have the freedom to explore their creativity, to express their feelings without fear, and to develop into confident, kind, and capable individuals. Parenting, teaching, and caregiving aren't about perfection, they're about intention, about showing up, learning, and doing our very best, not just for them, but for ourselves too. Because when we grow, heal, and learn to parent with love and awareness, we don't just break cycles, we create a better world for the next generation. You can't hide from adversity, you can't hide your children from life's ups and downs. The ones who achieve do so by experiencing and conquering obstacles, even from their childhood days. These are the ones who were never denied their right to face some struggle, some adversity. Others, in reality, cheated. Those who attempt to shelter their children from every conceivable germ in our society never really inoculate them from fear, worry, or the feeling of dependency. So, as we begin this journey together, I invite you to be open to new ideas, to reflection, and to the possibility of giving our children the childhood they truly deserve. Because at the end of the day, all we can do is our best, but let's make sure it's our very best, for them, for us, and for the future. Thank you for listening, and I can't wait to go on this journey together.
