Shmuel’s Lament

[CUT TO THE KENNELS AT THE HUMANE SOCIETY ADOPTION CENTER] Shmuel laments the adoption of his new puppy friend, Cleo, who for the last three days has been kept in the cage next to his. He is relieved that she is getting out of the miserable conditions at the adoption center, but he knows that at his age (4 years old) it will be hard for him to find a forever family. In this tune he sings a pledge to meet up with with Cleo once again...in this life or the next.
