Geeska Afrika is translated to Horn of Africa in Somali. The same way composers took folk music from their own homeland or ethnic background, I do the same. A combination of Somali, Eritrean, Djiboutian & Ethiopian musical influecnces including the rhythms (eskista & other sorts) modality & pentatonicism (specifically the qenet modal system in Ethiopia & Eritrea). Combine all of this with a bit of minimalist elements as well.
