The podcast episode emphasizes the importance of preparing for the future of your business by investing in tools, automating processes, and focusing on referrals for organic growth. It encourages not waiting until the last minute to invest and to delegate tasks to help the business grow. Additionally, it highlights the significance of staying active during slow seasons, maintaining consistency, and planning for the future you desire by setting goals and taking action. The overall message is to focus on building a structured and sustainable business for long-term success. Episode 1, The Business That Renews You. Welcome to the very first episode of the Open Mic Podcast, powered by Freedom Global and the NKT Academy, where every Wednesday we don't just talk business, we talk growth, clarity, consistency, and what it means to lead from the inside out. I'm your host, and today's episode is prerecorded with love because it's my birthday week. I'm stepping away from the screen this week to reflect, rest, and celebrate, but I wanted to speak directly to those of you who are building something that lasts. This episode is called The Business You Renew because right now, in the quiet, is the time to prepare for what's next. You didn't just start this journey to be a seasonal business. You started to build a business with longevity, impact, and legacy. Here's your mid-season check-in. Have you secured the tools you need for next season? The links will be in this podcast for this week's recording, so you'll be able to get all your registrations done. It's most important to be prepared and not be scrambling at the last minute. Second, have you automated what you promised yourself you'd never do manually again? Last week, I started working on automation series, and I uploaded a lot of step-by-step tutorials and cheat sheets on how to go into your sweet dash and create your automation emails to your clients when they're onboarding, when they're finishing up, and most importantly, how to set up your referral system. That leads me to the third question. Have you sent a referral message to just one client who loved your work so much last season, who gave you so much thank yous and personally thanked you for all the hard work and the quickness and putting the money in their pocket that they absolutely needed? Because that's what's important, and that is how your business is going to continue to grow organically without you having to do any work, by simply letting those people who have already let you know that they absolutely love your work, that the best way to thank you is to send you a message, and excuse me, the best way to thank you is to refer a new friend, or many, or more. Because this isn't about hustle, it's about structure. As I celebrate another year of life, I'm reminding you to celebrate the structure you're building, even if you're not on it right now. So here's what I'm challenging you to do while I sip something tropical this week. First thing, invest before you're ready. I say this because through my trials and tribulations, I found all kind of tools and help that could help me fast track my business and do things to help me streamline my communication. But I always put it off to say, I'm not ready to do it yet. I'm not ready to do it. Well, think about it. That's the whole purpose of investing in your business, to help it grow, is because you don't have to think about it. You're delegating that work to someone else that can make it happen. So if that's anywhere from automating your referrals, and your emails, and your onboarding, to possibly hiring a second person to help you with data entry, or even hiring someone to help you be a recruiter, that's part of the referral program that I'll go ahead and reiterate this week during the podcast. That referral program can work two ways. It's a one-way, two-way communication between you and a private client, or it's a multi-way communication if you set up a recruiter, and pay the recruiter a certain fee for how many people that they bring to your business. And you can have recruiters actually out there guiding business to your door, to your website every season without you having to do anything. So don't wait to the last minute to invest in your business before you're ready. Do it now, and then when you're ready for it, it will already be there set up doing its job for you. The second thing is, don't let silence make you lazy. I know this is our down season, and it's really easy to kind of get into the mood of, oh, it's tax season, it's over with. No, you are not the norm. You did not come to this academy to have that mindset. Don't get lazy right now. The same effort that you put in last season will be the same effort that you'll see this season. And remember, as long as you're following the steps, you should be seeing a double income return or double in clientele return every season. If you can get at least 25% of your clientele that showed up this year to come back next year with one person extra, that you just increased your clientele by 25%. Let your clients that have already used you do the work. And remember I said, you don't have to be the loudest one in the room. You just have to be consistent and present. Let them know who you are, what you can offer, and what you can do. Thirdly, but not least, set up the future you keep saying you want. You have the tools in your hand. This is literally a business that if you say you want to or need to make a certain number, that breaks down into effort and clientele. Figure out the number. Do you need to increase your rate a couple of dollars this year to get to that number? How many more clients do you need to get to that number? You only did this many ads last season and the number was okay, but you want to double that number. So that means you need to double that amount of ads. Set up the future you keep saying you want. The season you're hoping for starts right now. In the discussions you make before the rush, until next week, keep moving. The boss ready. I see you.
